Revel Mission: Baja #1 -Crossing the Border, Southbound to Paradise and a Massive Wind Storm

- Peter & Kathy Holcombe head south from Agile Offroad in their Winnebago Revel 4x4 Sprinter van to skip winter and explore Baja's mountains, deserts, and beaches. In this episode, they find many challenges and stress in crossing the border but eventually make it across with all the required paperwork. Their first night in Mexico has them camping in an abandoned resort with zombie movie vibes. But they find beauty everywhere, especially their second-night camping on the beach at Punta Final. This seems like paradise until it all gets blown away in an epic Baja sandstorm that has them fleeing to hide between two abandoned buildings with more zombie movie vibes. The challenge is offset by making amazing new friends from Scotland (Geraldine and Dan, @Dolly.s_diary) to share this challenge with. Ultimately, Baja is magic, and the crew is ready to explore further south.

How cool tho, love me some Baja!! We picked up some great fresh catch from Pecaderia Popeye and some Maseca in San Felipe. My wife made some fresh Tortillas and Tony Baker (Baker's Bacon) grilled up the fish and we had a dynamite fresh fish taco feast. Only in Baja! Safe travels!

No, we used CHUBB, which we found through Baja Bound. It was cheaper to do a whole year than a single month. Hope that helps!

Hello, Thanks! The desk area is roughly 30"x16". Mounting the monitor on a stand really opens up more desk space for a keyboard and Wacom tablet. I'm really enjoying this setup.
Good video. Was there a reason why you did not fill your water before leaving for mexico?
We had planned to do this in CA at the last night's camp in the US, but its water fill was closed.
We will typically fill water every 4-5 days and knew we would be doing this in Mexico at some point soon. Access to excellent purified water for our van is much easier to find in Baja than in the states. That has been a wonderful surprise down here. Each small town has a water shop with reverse osmosis purified water. And it costs us $2-$3 to fill our 20-gallon tank. I thought access to water would be much more difficult down here, but it’s been so easy to access water for our van.
