  • We finish up the built K24a2 for my JDM Nissan Cefiro drift car. We get all the fancy shiny parts on, rebuild the turbo kit, and get the whole combo ready to drop back in the car. Looking snazzy.

    I have always kept some 6in Cut off wheels for the situation where you need it to go deeper like you did where you can't get it from the opposite side. Requires removal of the grinder wheel guard but for 1 cut it's been fine when not applying much pressure and a nice straight cut.

  • @balljointfd3s
    @balljointfd3s 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    I love this build so much, thanks for making such a unique car Taylor! If it blows up again you might just want to run a K20 instead of the K24, the K20 can hold way more torque then the K24. It's why the Boosted Boiz switched to a K20 from a K24 so they could run 7's.

    • @jonslocum2166
      @jonslocum2166 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sorry bud but they switched to the k20 to make LESS torque because they kept breaking axles with the k24.

    • @gmonnye
      @gmonnye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nahh, the k20’s make less torque. and rev out just a lil higher if I’m not mistaken. I’m sure somebody will chime in that has real experience. But I’m pretty sure the k24s make more torque therefore more likely to bend rods/crack blocks.

    • @NotaThunderbird69
      @NotaThunderbird69 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gmonnye yes they rev higher and you loose a little torque, main reason for them switching was gearing, they were hitting the limiter with a k24, not much you can change with his setup because it doesn’t really have a diff like a normal rwd car, and I don’t think there is much you can do to change the diff ratio in a honda transmission, also less torque=less wheelies, never had problems with axle like someone above said

    • @imnota
      @imnota 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Literally the opposite but ok.
      They can hold similar amount of torque but the k24 will naturally MAKE more torque.
      BoostedBoiz switched to a K20 for higher RPM which was favourable in their scenario and to make less torque especially at the low-ish rpm you launch at to keep the nose down.

    If you're worried about mounting surface's being warped. Brush or spray them with some marking dye and run a file across it. The file will hit the high spots and leave the dye in the low spots. Continue to file until there are no low spots. You now how a straight flange. Most files you can unscrew the handle to use on larger surfaces. A must for headers, exhaust manifolds etc..
