      @Lucifer Ronove Elohim, we are gods too. That is not to say there is no God. To say that is ego on steroids. Our DNA has 64 decons as does God's although we humans only have 24 of the 64 decons activated Gods have 50+. The + means they can grow Theirs whilst we cannot. Our concept of the Richter Scale for seismic measure ment of earthquakes where 4 is double the reading for three and so on I believe is what it takes to grow your decon activation if indeed you could. So with us maxed out at 24 with the Gods starting at 50 They are so far beyond us the reality of it is hardly fathomable. That's not to say it won't happen one day though good navigation. Blessings to All.

Religious believes and laws are guidelines but they too are abused. It seems everything in this world consumes something else to survive. Which is kinda contrary to living harmoniously. At least to me at times. Fear and hate learned or conjured in our mind may seem like truths but mistake are made do to available information at the time of decision. I hope i stayed on point and answered your question.

    Alan's views on competition are very insightful. It is the people who judge who fit into the model Alan describes.
    But as for actually making mistakes or not making mistakes, (outside of competition considerations), this is the name of the game. We have to make mistakes! We are imperfect, and our world is also. And when we make mistakes, it's our job to learn from them. Then, when the next chance comes along to make them again, we alter our choice(s) until we no longer make that mistake. Then we are ready for our next growth opportunity (and possible mistake). Sometimes we get it right the first time... Hopefully we remember what we did, so we can do it again if need be. But our job here on Earth (Urantia) is to become just a little more perfect with each decision. And, if we're so inclined, to adopt the monk's attitude of not caring where we are on the social strata ladder.

    • @michaelbrown7561
      @michaelbrown7561 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I think you're missing his point. Perfection, right and wrong, is a characteristic of a judgmental (human) mind, not the universe at large.

    The real truth cannot be realized without admitting that the game of souls is not the game of bodies. The mistakes and takes of each lifetime are what makes our unique character, which we must live with over the infinite lifetime of a soul. In this context, competition has all meaning and no meaning. We are competing against our better selves - always - whether a newborn soul or the first soul.

    • @michaelbrown7561
      @michaelbrown7561 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Alan is saying that "mistakes" are a judgment made by a biased mind that is seeking fulfillment of goals. This doesn't mean that actions don't have consequences; it means that reality in its absolute form is free from any sort of goal seeking. In this sense, life's an experience, not a mission. In Alan's worldview, the goal of life isn't to get "better" and become a "better person". We aren't really individual "things" anyway; we are the entire Universe experiencing Itself in a multiplicity of ways. If there is a goal in Zen, however, it's to see through the illusion of our existences and recognize that we are the Universe experiencing Itself through the "good", the "bad", and everything else in between. In fact, according to Zen, whether we recognize it or not, doesn't really matter-the ultimate nature of the universe can't change. That's good news by the way.

      @@michaelbrown7561 I beg to differ with your new age cosmic oneness cult. You do not speak for the multiverse, but only for a cabal of hive minded souls who think they can twist the divine plan to overcome what greater souls have given them without expecting anything in return. @michaelbrown7561 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@theomnisthour6400 Not at all. You called it my New Age cult. I specifically made a point in my original response to use language that stated the case from Watts' point of view as I'm familiar with him and Zen Buddhism. I'll do it again as you seem to think Watts is contrasting individuals vs. Oneness as two separate possibilities for reality. He's not. Individuals do exist, according to this philosophy, but they exist as created realities rather than ultimate realities. In other words, the created reality of self and dichotomy between "me" and "other" occurs in perception. Take away perception and human conceptualizing and the "self" disappears. Modern cognitive science backs up this two thousand year old Zen Buddhist insight. For Buddhists, the self exists in a way a wave on the ocean would. A wave is simply a form the ocean takes at a moment in time, yet you wouldn't say it's not real or has no existence. People get crushed by waves when surfing and boats get overturned. But, what happens when the wave subsides? It becomes Ocean again. So, it's not an ultimate or impermanent reality, just a temporary form. Same with the self. When perception is gone, so too is division and distinction. We become Universe. So, no I would not agree that you can't be both...at least according to Watts. In Zen Buddhism, we are simultaneously individuals (little you) and One (Big You as in Universe).

    Allllll my life I always had one question and one expectation. When am I going to become a MAN? The expectation was that it was a guarantee, that I will become a man. Approaching 18 years old, I thought this was the moment. Got out of school, I expected a job, house, marriage and children.. smh Not even close. Lived with mom and step dad, working dead end jobs, went thru a few girl friends. I felt like a little boy still. Turned 23 tired of dead end jobs and nothing changing, so I joined the Army. For sure they will make me a MAN, right!? Sadly, not even close. I thought for sure I would be an underdog in the Army, cause Soldiers are tough MEN, im still just a boy, missing mom. Lol Also, turns out that these Army men were worse off than I was in maturity lol still I felt like a child, running around drinking all the time with these 18 to 20 yr Olds, chasing women, fights and dreaming of War! Well, War came and went multiple times, missing mom and scared outta my mind for the most part. Anyways, I'm 37 now, still feeling like a boy... Wondering why and how my parents had the life I was expecting to live a made it look easy and natural, like its predetermined and has to happen.. smh So I'm single living in a one bedroom apartment working dead end jobs with no health coverage other than the VA. Which im thankful for. But this is what I get for having expectations of things to just happen, instead I let them slip right by, trying to find that meaning of the word MAN. 😅

      I suggest you keep a journal to write in ....daily, weekly or monthly....jot down anything that you feel, see, hear or experience that affects or interests you from past and present or views on the future.
      You have the ability to connect with other's through writing your thoughts and feelings. Even if it's a couple of line's.

    You are not the body and mind you are Eternal Spirit trapped in the body, you have forgotten over many incarnations. The Matrix is your own bio computer brain machine that keeps You in the illusion of being a physical Being in a physical world via the nervous system and the five senses. Meditation-Separation is putting the body and mind to sleep but staying Awake and Alert inside and separate from the body and mind until you experience yourself as Eternal Spirit again.
    If you remain in this state after Meditation its called Nirvana, Samadhi, the Tao, Cosmic Consciousness, Awake as Eternal Spirit again.-Buddha, Garden of Eden, Heaven within Luke 17-21, Born again Jesus, Self Realization Yogananda, Virtue Socrates and the stoic saints, Obtaining the Golden Fleece Greek mythology, Leaving the Body but not dying Socrates, Ramana Maharshi, Krishnamurti and leaving the known( the field of the mind) ,
