    The tactical ability of a hybrid ship is very interesting, especially in clan or ranked battles. Great video!

    Thanks for the review! I will get the Tone, just because. It seems the planes are best use in the later part of the game when you are looking for the DDs and CV, or other ships trying not to be found. Not to mention a cap reset in standard battle if a red is in your base.
    I play mostly CoOp where I get bot BBs to chase when I am the survivor on a flank. In that situation the rear firing torps could be very useful since you can stealth launch while kiting and possibly use your planes to get your target to turn into your launched torps with your aircraft attack.
    There are so many things Tone can do you will need to be very flexable and change your play to fit the situation. Tone seems to have many options, except as an AA platform LOL. Just my guesses from what I have seen and read about. I think it may take some time for me to develope the skills and instincts to get the most out of it.
    It may not be a big damage and XP earner but you should not get bored.

    Tone looks like a great vessel when played right. Tone should be played as a recon platform where the ship hangs back. As a big IJN historian, I really want one, but can't afford it. Thanks for the video showing off the Chikuma class cruiser.

    I have a feeling that the spotting /early warning potential these planes have, outmatch their damage potential

      With a 3 minute cooldown to start the game, there's not much early spotting to be done. Later in a game, though, I agree. They can be highly effective.

    The guns feel anemic on the alpha, I didn't get great output from them. I also find it strange that the IJN designed the front turrets the way they did, the ship looks like it could handle 3 triple-barrel turrets rather than the 4 doubles.

      The alpha feels worse simply because she has the fewest barrels of any IJN cruiser at this tier or the tier before. By the time you hit Myoko you get 10 barrels and you HAVE 10 barrels up until Zao. Tone only brings 8, so it feels worse because it is.

      She's like Cleveland in this regard; her speed works against her. If she had more she'd handle better, like Atago or similar. Those extra few knots make a bit difference when trying to wiggle and dodge.

      @@SeaRaptor Absolutely, extra speed is always helpful. I run the speed flag, which gets me up to 35 knots, which is enough to dodge most of what gets thrown at me.

    Can't stand the idea of this ship!!...WG has ravaged & defiled the pretty little game we loved so much!!!! Also anyone experiencing more lag, hitters, glitches, bugs, scratchy sounds,& packet loss???....with making no changes on your end like settings or equipment?? I have & believe its somehow on purpose or because of WGs lazy incompetence ...change my mind. FairWjndsYall!!
