    Here it is summer 2024 and my 11 year old Goodman just died. My A/C guy just sold me a Daiken Fit with gas furnace. My Goodman would run 14-17 hours a day and not get under 80. And this summer has been murder. From the time they turned on my Fit it took less than 30 minutes to get my living room from 90 degrees to 74. My home has never been so comfortable! Although the system was considerably more than I expected at this point I’m elated with my purchase. Daiken has made me a believer. Now I’m looking forward to my first electric bill to see if the increased efficiency is what I was led to believe.

    Amazing video and great install. What CFM does this setup run at at full heat pump, lowest heat pump, full furnace, lowest furnace?

    I'm in rural zone 5 and have been told the new high efficiency mini split heat pumps are cheaper to heat with compared to propane. Would a upflow Daikin FIT hybrid allow me to choose between electric or propane? So I could pick the heat pump during the warmer shoulder months, and propane during the coldest days when the heat pump is least efficient? Or would it be more efficient to have a two stage heat pump to double the BTU's in the winter? Thanks

    Thanks for the informative video. May I ask what are the operating ranges of the Daikin fit, like 25 to 100 per cent or ???? Also do you know if Mitsubishi has Hybrid Systems that could also work with a gas furnace?

    I have a gas furnace. Would it make sense to get a heat pump and 80% efficient furnace as backup or get AC only with 96% efficient furnace? Thanks

    • @TheDiskinsDoEverything
      @TheDiskinsDoEverything  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, especially if it is natural gas. If propane, then take a look at a heat pump

      @xincai951 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheDiskinsDoEverything Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I live in Seattle. So it would be better to have 96% furnace paired with AC than 80% furnace with heap pump? Both would be the daikin Fit. Thanks

    How much are you allowed to oversize the Daikin FIT? Does it have good output during winter?

    • @TheDiskinsDoEverything
      @TheDiskinsDoEverything  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sizing should be correct, so none. Unless you have the ducting to support it, which is rare. Inverters have a bit “extra” built in already, so no need to worry about that as much. The Fit is not a Low Ambient model, but does really well in our climate.

    • @tekjunkie28
      @tekjunkie28 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheDiskinsDoEverything I was told by a contractor here that Daikins advice is to oversize a bit for heating since we are in a heating climate. But that would mean I’m almost 7k BTUs oversized in cooling according to a load calc. My house is 1.87 tons cooling but heating is like 27-30K BTUs. Would that be a problem? To me it would but I’m no professional.

    I made the mistake of buying a kenmore oil furnace a month ago. I still have my rheem outdoor unit. can I put a Daikin Fit with a coil to use as a heat pump, without eliminating my oil furnace. I want a duel fuel system.

      @@TheDiskinsDoEverything awesome ill pick one up this week. I havent worked in the hvac field for 15 years so im behind on tech. I do install mini splits for friends and repair their units every now and then. I miss the industry but i got pretty lucky and got into the elevator union in NY and have been working in it for the last 15 years. I appreciate your advice.

    Love your content! I have a quick question. I am in the process of building a coach house and due to space I don't necessarily have space for the daikin AC unit's heat exchanger to be on the floor (on a slab of concrete like your builds). Unfortunately my house is wood framed (and not any sort of masonry) but I was thinking of having it mounted to the wall about 8ft high on some brackets. Is that a terrible idea in terms of vibrations to the main house? The unit I'm getting is the Daikin 2MXS18NMVJU Outdoor 2-Port Split System Heat Pump, 18000 BTU/hr Cooling
