I don’t live too far from Grimsby and I don't know these colourful fairytale beach cottages until recent. These cottages aren’t your average beach homes. They’re the most colourful, adorable and unique gingerbread houses that I’ve ever seen. Some of them are over 150 years old.
Grimsby Beach is a quiet residential neighborhood. The cottages are private homes. Either walking or driving around works. There is a parking lot in the Auditorium Circle.
These are private properties. Please only enjoy them from the road.

What a clever idea for a group of cottages. Is this a touristy place? I loved it, so colorful. What a place to take 5-6 year old's and tell them fairy tales.

This is not a touristy place. Those cute cottages are normal people's homes. Not too many people know about them! Truly a hidden gem.
