- TELEFORUM is about a news reporter trying to get the scoop in a colleagues recent death, so of course the Scary Game Squad is here to help. And by help I mean get caught up in some terrible ringu level hijinks.
TELEFORUM is a found-footage-styled horror game exploring the unknown side of media. You’re visiting a widow’s apartment to conduct an interview about her husband's death. But that’s not the main reason why you’re here. It’s all about the tape, isn’t it?

I really liked how they used the Steam achievements to tell a story.
Yeah that was super clever. Instead of being an annoying distraction, they added to the content
she WAS a different person, even the name!!! first was JULIANA then it was JULIANNA, the photos are completely different girls!!
I love SGS for catching that - because I didn’t and neither did any of the previous let’s players I’ve seen cover this game 🤔 Clever photoshop to use such similar face/profile/hair images but synchronize the background and lighting so well. The shift is so subtle!

I'm guessing that they're waiting for big games that are worth the efforts (and downside) of doing a multipart series with. Games that will bring views and/or that they are hype themself to play

I'm so glad y'all picked up Teleforum, and I'd *love* to see the Squad play more of it! There's a lot of small details that were missed during the first go-round because y'all were just too good at plot progression. Info you learn during the interview adds a lot to the context of the later parts of the game (plus more about what happened with their deceased colleague).

This is a Brazilian game made by someone in their 30's. The Maggi Rooster that tells when its gonna rain is a dead giveaway.

I got that fear of big things in the water, I played subnautica in VR for my family, like kind of a joke, when a reaper leviathan showed up I about shit my pants and they had a good laugh. Would love to see Jesse try it in VR.

This was a really great surprise! I'd never heard of this game, but it was really well done, like one of those looping nightmares that come back even after you've woken up. The effect on her face while she's just sitting in the dark is So creepy. It's like her eyes are open, closed, bulging, etc. at different moments and sometimes the same time.

6:39 UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul) is a Brazilian university, so the setting must be in Brazil (probably Rio Grande do Sul, which is the state that university is in). They also mentioned "cruzeiro" (7:57), which was the currency of Brazil between 1967 and 1986.
Its portuguese, but not from Portugal, it's brazilian.
The names Juliana, Adriana Martins, Walter Martins, all common here, despite not being pronounced the same way or exclusive to Brazil. But Silva is like one of the most common surnames, like everyone knows or is related to someone with the Silva surname LOL What also stood out for me is the UFRGS diploma on the wall, its from the federal public university from the state I was born. UFRGS stands for "Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul", which is easily translatable i'm sure LOL
Cruzeiros was our money before it became Real, in the year I was born, 1994 lol Which totally explains the entire 80s vibe of the game. I really didn't know this was a brazilian game, its so cool!

As a brazilian i have seen this rooster to predict weather, they change from blue to pink, if its pink it is suposed to rain and if its blue than it will be a hot clear day. My gran has one of those, and it is really bad at predicting the weather hahaha

Flags were definitely raised when they mentioned a VHS tape. Very pre 2000s style. The Blair Witch pose definitely didn't help either. I don't mind having a part 2 of this because I definitely have more questions than answers.

Ya so, there’s a few videos that explain the whole story of this game, if sgs would do about 2-3 more loops they should basically clean up the remaining content which is somewhat interesting to watch. The one video I watched only explained story and not the in between so it would be nice to see that.

I was told by one of my friends grandmothers back in the 90s that if you live in the city you should have a rooster item? somewhere in the room you sleep in.
From what I remember the idea is we think of roosters as natural alarm clocks, waking us in the morning, so by having a doll or picture or something it protects us from nightmare demons (Like Freddy kreuger) because even while asleep we know there is a morning bird there to wake us up. it was wican I think, someone tell me if I have the wrong group.
I believe horseshoes are supposed to protect too but you want it facing up like a U, I think to hold the luck/protection in the house?
I don't know if it's wiccan per se as opposed to regular superstition. A lot of those rituals exist completely separate from any named collection of beliefs.
