Do you know how to make a TH-cam music account for artists? Or should it already be connected with your TH-cam Channel?
Yes, you would just release music through your distributor to TH-cam music and once they release your song through there, then you would go and claim it.

Thank you for doing this video!!! VERY helpful!! I took notes. LOL I wanted to let you know (not a big deal but thought you would want to fix it) that under Settings...Upload defaults...Description... you wrote "when I was began my music". I thought you'd want to know so you can go take out "was". Again, great video!!! I'm subscribing to your channel for more videos on all this as we're just starting to suddenly take off and need to get everything up and running! We've been singing around North Florida our whole lives but we only did it as a hobby a few times a year at the same events annually. All of a sudden, we're being contacted by all kinds of people and venues, some paying gigs and some that are free but we're getting amazing exposure (like an audience of thousands). Now, we're frantically trying to set up pages on all the social media platforms and youtube channel, etc! Ahhhh! We want to do it right and look professional but it is a lot to learn and to do so quickly! (For instance, in the last 8 days, we got booked for 6 gigs. EEK!) So, we really appreciate your channel because we'd be lost without it. FOR SURE! lol Thanks!!

I’ll make a video about this soon, but I used a distributor, also connected my TH-cam to DistroKid, & got my music on Google search console. It’s a bit of a process.

Hey man great video I was wondering if you know the answer to this? When you become an official music channel can you still disable like counts on videos? I cant find the answer to this anywhere i just need somebody with an artist channel to try it in settings 😂
Its not a big deal im just ocd about stuff like this and need to find out before I change my channel over 😂

On my videos just now i have the like counter hidden, I just find it a kinda pointless metric, just wondering does the option still exist to hide the likes counter once you become an official artist channel?, im guessing it probably does just wanted to find out for sure just need someone with an artist channel to test it out, thanks man 🙌🙌

is it better for visual artists to just name ones channel their name? I want to start an account and channel for my art and Im trying to think of a catchy name or just my name with artist after it?
I recommend naming it your artist name so it’s easier for fans/listeners to find you from Google or even on the TH-cam platform.

The depends on you connecting it AND also getting your artist name on Google Search Console, releasing music, etc.

I have a question. I have already connected my TH-cam account to my artist profile and also have the tick (musical note) next to my name. My problem now is that I don't have the function on the left side of TH-cam Studio to go to my profile and change my profile picture. This really disappoints me because I listen to music on TH-cam Music myself. Need help
Is it on TH-cam music that you can’t change your profile or TH-cam itself? Because although those two are under the same umbrella, TH-cam music is technically a different platform and URL.
@@JaceyFlames So I listen to my music on a different account than I make it. In other words, on my private account. However, I already know that I have to edit my profile picture on TH-cam Studio. My only problem is that the function is not displayed there. It should actually be under "Profiles" on the left, where you can edit it. But that's not the case for me. Otherwise everything is there (Artist Mark, my Songs)
Have you tried to login to the google profile that your TH-cam profile is under yet and change your profile picture from there?
@@JaceyFlames Yes I can log in to my google account and it has changed on TH-cam but not in TH-cam Music. On YT I can change it the whole time but TH-cam Music is my problem. 😔

@@Cassy375 As long as you have the TH-cam content ID, you might be okay.
Then when i unpload my music it is going to the topic Channel and when i unpload the vidéo lyrics in my really channel it make the copirihgt of the topic Channel then wen i will claim the artist channel TH-cam will take care of the copiright ?
The topic channel is the default channel from the distributor that they create when you release your music. Don’t worry about that one. Just upload to your regular channel when you release your music.

@@JaceyFlames I can’t see the song in TH-cam studio yet. Is it possible the process is still ongoing coz I’m yet to get the artist checkmark? The song put in the official channel is the only progress seen
Is this the first song you have released on there? Also, unfortunately for some artists you may have to do more to get the check mark on youtube.
@@JaceyFlames Yes, it’s the first song. What more needs to be done?
@@kathyoby That may be why. You also need to get your music on Google search console, have your social media profiles matched to your artist name, have some publications, etc. TH-cam may not give you the checkmark if they can’t identify who you are yet as an artist through search engines.

Unfortunately, most distributors don’t allow you to connect it yet. Only on TH-cam Music, which is a different app. The topic channel is always a default channel that distributors upload your music.

Hey! I just posted a video today to try and create the official artist channel. Distrokid keeps telling me that my artist name and TH-cam name don’t match…I double checked and everything is correct. Any advice? Do I wait a little longer for the video and account to get settled ? Thanks !
