Dont forget though, if its hard to push on carpet, not only does it have the electronic motor speed control, but even if thats too hard to push on minimum power, you have the suction release slider on the front of the handle, so you can release even more suction using that, and although it makes a nice hissing noise, it should mean that floorhead is easier to push. Indeed it does have a lot of features for a £50 cheapo Chinesium vacuum, and the electronic motor speed control is a very strange addition to find on such a cheap machine, especially one thats multi-cyclonic, as they dont usually have speed control, as they need full speed to operate the cyclones effectively. If its used on low speed all the time, the pre-motor filter will get dirtier quicker, as the cyclones will be less efficient. As long as you are happy with it thats the main thing Sam, and for the price you paid for it, you cant really grumble can you.
This is really similar to a machine I got from aldi a few months ago. Believe it or not my one is more basic (no speed control and no front bin handle). I was interested in the eco floor head (we don't really get those here) and it sucks a lot of dust out of carpets, mine isn't as bad to push. It isn't bad for the price and I use mine a lot. I'm pretty sure these are done by the same company churning out those cheap swivel uprights under the argos, tesco, goblin, and here black and decker brands. The filter in yours looks almost identical to the one in my black and decker upright. Also the cyclone unit has the same swirl pattern and shroud to a larger black and decker upright I tried last year.
I see from the Amazon reviews that many have complained that the suction was great to start and then gradually deteriorated. Most hoovers do this over time but the bagless ones seem to be worse in my experience, despite thorough cleaning. Did you have the same problems with suction?
I think if it would’ve had a turbo brush on it the machine would’ve worked better. It would be interesting to see how much it would pick up using a turbo brush.

I sold it not long after my mum used it for a month and didn't notice any suction issues. Regular filter washing will be the key with it
