I didn't realise W5 did a Supertramp piece. Which is amusing because W5's theme music for years was an instrumental section of Supertramp's "Fool's Overture,"which can be heard in the ad. Canada was Supertramp's most successful market. Canada was the only country where they had number one singles. "Dreamer" and "The Logical Song." Their albums Crime of the Century and Breakfast in America were both certified diamond for sales of more than one million albums each, 10 times Canadian platinum.

And I think this compilation has the oldest long-form commercial break compilation from Canada that isn't from a sporting event. It is a whopping 44 years young.

@@vancegosselin yeah I remember it kind of looking very 80s with some models walking around and a woman’s voice singing Alia. I mean it’s been like 43 years since I’ve seen it.
