Russ Lewis! Extraordinary! So handsome and astonishingly good at what he does, including the writing of an act that has a perfect ending. Bravo! Thanks for posting!
I'm glad someone posted this because now when METV shows The Ed Sullivan Show, this segment is omitted. The show is cut for time to fit it into a 30 minute time slot. Back in 1997 when TV Land ran this, they showed it uncut. This is a truly funny routine.
This was great. Please post more ventriloquist videos. Some of the rarely seen ones that Sullivan had on, like Fred Roby, Arthur Worsley, and especially Rickey Layne & Velvel. Thank you.
That is one creepy looking dummy!! Never heard of this ventriloquist, he’s clearly talented, but he’s from the era when ventriloquists were more trick-oriented than humour oriented. Edgar Bergen from the 40s was not a great ventriloquist, but his dummies had personality. Jeff Dunham today is proof that you concentrate on character and not tricks.
Wow, this guy was excellent !! The best one I've seen ever...
I thought it was hilarious! Wonderful talent!!

Wow he’s good!
Not bad. The quick back and forth was the best part, but I’ve seen much better ventriloquists.

Definitely a creepy looking dummy. I never heard of him either. Looked him up and I think he's still around performing.
