I'm in my 40's now and I liked Yachty from jump. I wasn't thrilled with his takes on Pac and Big, but I can appreciate his unique style and fun music. Poland is ridiculously dope. The Let's Start Here album is a fearless departure from his expected sound. I refuse to be an old head that hates the younger generation for just existing.
I’m surprised Yachty managed to stay relevant for so long. In all honesty, his association with Drake is a reason to why he’s stayed relevant longer than expected.
I don't even like Yachty, but fair play to him for how he conducted himself in that Budden interview. Budden embarrassed himself going red in the face shouting, especially aimed at someone who was basically just a kid at the time. For me, Yachty saying "chiiillllll" in response is the most iconic thing he'll ever do 😂
2016 when yachty came up is when they started going with TH-cam views more in song rankings, so pre teens from the suburbs were dictating hip hop, hip was never views based the song had to be hot, 2014-2017 hip hop went according to views not the song being dope
i think that's fair, he does seem chill i wasn't around when biggie and pac but their influence on hip hop is pure and as a hip hop fan I can't deny their greatness even though they were before my time. I think he's comments on the og's was the spark people needed to shit on him.
He went from a trash mumble rapper to a guy who makes mid experimental music to be different and call himself a "rockstar" and let everything get to his head. I keep hearing praise for his new style of music and it honestly doesn't sound good, it's just..... different but different doesn't automatically mean good. I think that's why people, including myself, don't like him
Saying there's no one from his XXL class and beyond that could out rap him on a track is crazy. Yachty can't out rap Denzel, JID, or Cordae. There's other names, but those come to mind.
I'll never forget Lil Yachty cuz when I saw him for the first time I knew that I was old. Watching something &then a Sprite commercial comes on with this black kid rockin colored-beads in his hair singing on a piano &it hit me that I have no earthly idea who this person is &had to google him to find out that it was rapper called Lil Yachty. And seeing him &his crew answer questions like that about Biggie & Pac is sad but that surprising. But as someone that was coming of age as that whole 2-Pac &BIG beef went down it was something that divided the country. It took rap truly main stream, rappers were on MTV but with Pac &others now rap was on ABC, NBC, Fox &CNN. They elevated rap to unprecedented level &they both died doing it. It's absolutely a really personal time to those that lived it &saw the rap game change forever &if he had shown just a lil bit of love &shown some real respect for Pac &BIG I doubt it would've gone as left as it did
Skip over the whole Michigan boat era? Not talking about how he changed his sound and actually be rapping and song writing for many of your favorite artists

It’s my belief that all these ppl that’s going out of there way to “SaveDrake” are trying to stay in his good graces so that if he does stu on top he can turn around and help their dying career
He makes music because it generates money and it’s pretty fun. He don’t want to be part of „the culture“ he don’t want to help people like 2Pac or Kendrick. He’s just wants to chill and make money. Not everybody has to be a rolemodel.
The difference between drake and yachty saying they rich and flaunting money is that drake is actually rich and actually makes more than your favorite rapper, can't say that for yachty
not defending yachty but I gotta spread hate for that wannabe pedo who thinks he's black. He has got to be one of the sorriest dudes on the planet even before the recent beef

In 2016 at that time when Rich homie he was on top on game by competing with the two rappers I didn’t know he had issued with his label so when taking a break on music then lil Yachty came up and taking his place as best 3rd solo rapper at that time.
I don’t hate Yachty but man he is delusional af when it comes to his actual ability to rap, new age rappers like Denzel, JID, and Jpeg would wash him on a track and ironically also make more unique music with a higher risk factor

He literally does
Lol that's why he been writing hits for Artist.lol u sound slow
You can’t disrespect the legends who paved the way and respect the craft
It’s not possible lol
How do you respect hip hop?
@@hatedhero. by not being a p*do lover
"id rather take a risk than take an L." I LOVE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s probably the most diabolical thumbnail I’ve ever seen in my existence on this planet
That thumbnail is killing me
I'm in my 40's now and I liked Yachty from jump. I wasn't thrilled with his takes on Pac and Big, but I can appreciate his unique style and fun music. Poland is ridiculously dope. The Let's Start Here album is a fearless departure from his expected sound. I refuse to be an old head that hates the younger generation for just existing.
I remember him talking about how when he went to college people didn’t really mess with him, he wasn’t popular. He was always kinda quirky .
I’m surprised Yachty managed to stay relevant for so long. In all honesty, his association with Drake is a reason to why he’s stayed relevant longer than expected.
This is disregarding how many songs he's written
bro the guy wrote most of her lose and gave the guy jumbo tron shit poppin plus the sod song on his 100 gigs drop
This is not true
Of course he writing for drake
Drake has benefited from him than Yatchy did
I don't even like Yachty, but fair play to him for how he conducted himself in that Budden interview. Budden embarrassed himself going red in the face shouting, especially aimed at someone who was basically just a kid at the time.
For me, Yachty saying "chiiillllll" in response is the most iconic thing he'll ever do 😂
He is definitely not "having fun" anymore 0:58
To me the most important thing in Hip hop is respect no matter what. Yet people saying they are part of hip hop are not respecting others.
2016 when yachty came up is when they started going with TH-cam views more in song rankings, so pre teens from the suburbs were dictating hip hop, hip was never views based the song had to be hot, 2014-2017 hip hop went according to views not the song being dope
that thumbnail can't be real 😂😂😂
15:38 saying that is crazy while Denzel, Dave East, Anderson Paak, & G herbo are on the same list as you
Don’t sleep on Cordae. My guy has bars and a dope ass style imo. Just recently started listening to him tufffffff and man. He’s nice.
He sounds smart and stupid at the same time…
16:00 this is the mindset you need as a rapper and I respect it.
One thing about Louaista, he gonna make the same video about 5 times.
Diddy ahh thumbnail🙏🙏🙏🙏🐟
Lil Yachty is one of the only modern rap people that I actually like. Seems like a good dude
i think that's fair, he does seem chill i wasn't around when biggie and pac but their influence on hip hop is pure and as a hip hop fan I can't deny their greatness even though they were before my time. I think he's comments on the og's was the spark people needed to shit on him.
Give a listen to Denzel Curry
2:13 Yachty looks like a kid who's in trouble😂😂😂😂
I liked Yachty's freestyle on hot97, he really got into it too with the throwback to his dad in the Benz.
He went from a trash mumble rapper to a guy who makes mid experimental music to be different and call himself a "rockstar" and let everything get to his head. I keep hearing praise for his new style of music and it honestly doesn't sound good, it's just..... different but different doesn't automatically mean good. I think that's why people, including myself, don't like him
Dangg but his new style was lowkey what made him relevant again and imo better than all his mumble rap stuff
He makes good music
His latest stuff is amazing tho, many who actually listen without hate thinks it's aoty of 2023
@@asgoredreemur7935Nobody is saying it’s AOTY wtf

That podcast stuff he did to his friend on camera was lame af.
Everyone in Yachtys XXL class raps better and makes better music than him by a million fold😂
saying that drake is better than pac and biggie is diabolical asf 🤣🤣🤣🤣☠☠☠🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀
No disrespect, but my problem with yachty is that he gives himself too much credit.
Wdum by that gang?
Give Lil Yachty his flowers while he's still with us..!!❤🎉🕺💐🔥🥹
all these grown ass men upset because a 20-something-year-old doesn't share their subjective taste in music lmfao its pathetic.

Saying there's no one from his XXL class and beyond that could out rap him on a track is crazy. Yachty can't out rap Denzel, JID, or Cordae.
There's other names, but those come to mind.
Yachty do already got a song with jid tho 👀
@@Crazy-clipz-TheInternetBox my point is still valid. He didn't out rap JID
Lil boat’s episode of “the cave” with kenny beats just shows how shitty he is
I'll never forget Lil Yachty cuz when I saw him for the first time I knew that I was old. It's absolutely a really personal time to those that lived it &saw the rap game change forever &if he had shown just a lil bit of love &shown some real respect for Pac &BIG I doubt it would've gone as left as it did
*Bring me back every 5 minutes by liking this.*
i'm here😂😂
@squibbelsmcjohnson 😁😁
😂 Naahhh
Budden hating on that cover was annoying
I love how yachty is talking like Hess pushing the barrier for the new gen when he’s not even top ten new gen rappers
Skip over the whole Michigan boat era? Not talking about how he changed his sound and actually be rapping and song writing for many of your favorite artists
He wanna walk around like he's "self made", but Drake kept him relevant
I can’t blame him for getting worked up and disrespecting rap. His whole career has been people mocking him. He seems like a nice guy that keeps getting dogged even when doing something good
Hip hop is a culture and if you disrespect the culture than it's not for you.
Signed to a dude thats signed to a dude thats disguised as another dude
Nah that thumbnail is diabolical ☠
Shout out lmao i was tired of everybody milking diddy this is yhe content i needed 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
"Yatchy can't give you no swag neither, Ion give a fvck 'bout who you hang with".
I remember the time when mumbling rappers emerge in 2015 from 3 top Atlanta rappers names Future, Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan. In 2016 at that time when Rich homie he was on top on game by competing with the two rappers I didn’t know he had issued with his label so when taking a break on music then lil Yachty came up and taking his place as best 3rd solo rapper at that time.
I don’t hate Yachty but man he is delusional af when it comes to his actual ability to rap, new age rappers like Denzel, JID, and Jpeg would wash him on a track and ironically also make more unique music with a higher risk factor
can someone explain to me why tupac and biggie is the standard?I’ll listen to geto boys n pharcyde before them
He was a troll doing and saying whatever he can to do make money... he doesnt care if his musics any good which is why he was grateful when it dropped it got some buzz so he was thinking maybe I can go back to that bs and make some more money. Dudes fake dude flip flops based on what he thinks people want to hear after almost losing his career taking the dumb trolling too far. Then wants to act like hes the OG of new wrappers and carried them all.
crazy thumbnail 😭😭
Hip hop is the only genre that disrespects their legends so openly. They paved the way for you and in some instances made way less money with a much better quality product. Not to mention the degradation of our culture as a whole
The thimbnail is wild ☠️☠️🙏🏾🙏🏾
I understand the hate for yachty, but everytime I see clips of his Joe Budden interview, Budden really unhinged.. Deflecting his fall from hip-hop onto yachty.
This comment prolly will never be seen, but we just African children trying to enjoy good music. Is it that asking too much?
this man yachty is and was always talented musically, just because he doesn’t like or even know certain music that we, including myself, consider legendary and part of the culture, doesn’t mean he can’t express himself and make what he feels like is art. i’m 23 now and i been listening to this kid for almost 8 years and some of the stuff he’s dropped is straight masterpieces.
Joe Budden is just an old man yelling at clouds
Drake got yachty acting like him getting hurt and holding grudges on anything and everything, also the music turned bland as a british delicacy.
I hate how yall got this dude yachty talking like he some kind of musical genius now because his shit is garbage dawg
