Hi. The promised Dragon Isle movie is here. The music has been out for some time. Some of you might have listened to it by now. This movie should have been released at least 48 hours before, but I have big issues with my computer. My graphics card (Nvidia 1080 Ti) seems to have problems lately (big fps drops while in WoW and now I can't render in Premiere Pro, I've rendered this movie 11 times). Apologies for the delay. Now to business: - This is not the entire music, just a selection / mix which I've made; More music in the related zone video (coming soon); - I still adapt to the music from Dragonflight. I am not saying it's bad, I was expecting less ambiental music sometimes; - Some music is just great, I loved it from the beginning, some tracks I've learned to love after few times I've listened to it; - There isn't enough Thaldraszus and Valdrakken music, we need more music there; - Jake Lefkowitz, David Arkenstone and Glenn Stafford composed most of the music, but I saw Derek Duke and C. Nguyen helping. Maybe 2 more main composers would have been great, to bring more variety. I was expecting for Derek Duke to compose the Tuskarr pieces (like he did in Wrath) and I did not see Neal Acree's name at all in this expansion. It's a great loss in my opinion. And yea... a wild thought... I wanted to see Russell Brower coming back one last time for the Azure Span tracks. This did not happen. - The zones videos are coming next, but it's wise to wait a bit to see if there is more music coming out. I'll work in the background if my main computer allows it. I must admit that this expansion didn't excited me until now that I'm listening and watching this video. It's incredible how someone's work can change your feelings.
I have a feeling they'll bring it back at some point. Dragonflight is the start of refreshing systems and make them last in the game. Might be copium, but I trully hope they'll move away from borrowed power permanently
I don't typically get into WoW's music outside classic and BC but Dragonflight had some nice tunes that already makes me think back fondly on going through the zones the first time. Its going to be really nostalgic years from now.
The new music is so good! The Azure Span sounds like Grizzly Hills but with a twist. The soundtrack is honestly so cozy, it saddens me so much that I won't be able to play it anytime soon...
After I departed from WoW universe there are only two things I was left with to enjoy from it - Lore and Music ....thank you for helping me with one of these.
Such a pity that one of the best tracks is so saddeningly short, Tyrhold is an incredible track with that familiar Northrend Storm peaks/Ulduar melody that carries it gently into the next motif.
The only video on TH-cam I have downloaded so far with my premium subscription. That speaks volumes! Thank you for all you do!

1:02:45 this part with the flute at the beginning is genius. It resembles Mozart to me in a way, no exaggeration. Just listen to Concerto for Flute and Harp, K. 299 II. Andantino. And of course, the Grizzly Hills-like part after it is just magical... Also listen to 1:03:50 - incredible.
I absolutely love Dragonflight and the areas! the music literally makes you feel like you another timeline! I love it! really soothes the soul 💖 much love, thank you for combining all of this together, definitely my go to while I work 🥰
The zone is stunning, the Ost is a masterpiece altogether. Also helps the feels along reading some High-Fantasy. Thanks for the quality upload per usual, mate. ⚔

During the last expansion, I used to put my own music to play on the background. Guess I won't need to anymore, and I'm glad for it! Amazing soundtracks!
Just stumbled over this and want to give thanks for creating and sharing it. As always, the music in this expansion is amazing, though can understand the challenge in getting to know the music in game in each zone when you're doing mach 3. /wink
The frames drop a lot if you gaze too much into the distance. They actually allowed us to look farther than usual. My computer doesn't seem to keep up with this though.

Boat 2 is one of my, if not the, favourite song so far in DF. Too bad I copuld not find it here :( It is regularly played in Valdrakken and pretty much gives me goosebumps every time
I was thinking the same thing along the lines of those trumpets and almost old school war games vibe at points. All the music sounds beautiful and mystical
This zone was made with WoTLK in mind. Its basically a recreation of it in modern wow. Even the land marks are basically from it.... and it is great :D

When we play WoW now, we pay less attention to the Lore (in order not to be disappointed). So, from that point of view, you are good to join us in Dragonflight.
I have parts from all zones which I like. But maybe Azure Span music as a whole is the most complete. Surprisingly, I like the music from Forgotten Reach. I find it pretty good.
Even i like dragon riding..i understand now flying shouldn't open that fast..never feel same how you discover places while ground riding..now fly fast ..land where u need to be and move fast away..but again even i like this exp. still there is no special zone like ashaenvale..like barrens..like zangar for years..Blizz should work on zones way more
Well, what's new, you say... certainly not the type of comment you left here :p 99% of ppl say/parrot this exact statement the last 6+ years...🤷 Not sure I fully agree as it's not just the music that keeps me returning occasionally, but it sure is consistently one of the top 3 reasons to bother with this game, no matter the differences between xpacks. For many ppl anyway. Then again, it's both good and bad that you can just rely on TH-cam to listen to the OST; I for one would prefer getting the full experience for a year straight, but sadly it has never happened, and like I've said several times in the past it's probably too late to be able to enjoy it as much as before. Anyhow, point was, music alone can't "carry" a game. It has its flaws but it's still not simply popular, but inciting strong feelings for sure. Love/hate relationship mostly, but with emphasis on love, for many, still, even if they aren't returning frequently. Tbh music won't be what will have carried it this time, especially, if it proves to be a successful expansion in the long run. Ppl seem to be as greedy as the company itself, just asking and asking for more and better content. If they don't get it they won't stop whining and roasting everything (sometimes justly ofc). In fact, most whine regardless, usually. World needs to chill in general tho, but.... complaining about entertainment may be better than...other things. Who wants to criticize themselves, for example? (without overdoing it, preferably)
@@peonoreeves3852 :p That's obvious too ...that the music has been better I mean (dunno about lately but still) - the whole direction of gaming/entertainment _industry_ is based on the formula of a good package (be it sharper graphics+/good OSTs, and just popular chars/franchises) but mediocre features/depth tho, I think... Ppl being hyped shouldn't be a thing since at least 5 years ago, every game has been rushed etc even before that mark. I'd argue bread n circus will be over soon anyway, but that's for another topic n time. That said, it's not 100% bad to be playing your fav game(s) as long as you're able to. But knowing they'll never be the same (generally speaking) should help you not be addicted to them, and appreciating them (and everything else while you're at it) for what they are - or better yet, play them as you want to, if that's still an option... Also, let's not even write off the new expansion without seeing it released first, lolz. You never know, we could be wrong. Well, some weren't satisfied with Legion which was pretty good, and such ppl will always whine as if a game getting everything right (whatever that means, past a certain point, for different ppl with different preferences) is something easy, but hey. There sure seems to be more depth this time tho, just with the new talents and potential story. Gearing has always been a prob for me and it gets worse now that I want to use more chars, but I can't dismiss that they've taken some steps to find *some* balance... the parts with the excessive grind, they can keep em for other types of players tho, I'm not bothering like I used to.
@@Meisio yh, that's a factor as well, indeed. But I'm always trying to do justice to everything separately :p Too early for that. I can risk being seen as a failed prophet tho, as most ppl seem to think I'm one, by default. And yet, I'm almost always vindicated, mwahaha. It just takes ppl time to admit I was right (those who are capable of that behavior). Oh well. To be honest tho, I shouldn't talk much about WoW, as I've barely played/seen enough content after WotLK, or even before it, in reality xD Maybe except for WoD and Legion, but I never do endgame, so..... Just the talents add something old&new tho, and I could just be content with them, depending on how many pts twinks get at each bracket.
I would say that what it lacks the most is variety. You have to trust me on this: you need to give it some time and play the game while listening to the music. Of course, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Considering I'll never step into the game until Bobby's out and the game''s path dramatically changes (so.. most likely never), this content helps a lot with getting the vibe of the new expansions, thank you for that.
@@Meisio hmmm Soros, Gates, Kotick, Rothschild, Kissinger, Kardashians, Beckhams (? nowadays there are much worse than them in football and music business but ok, just a name that sprouted), or Arabs and Chinese billionaires... what difference does it make? None of the non "plebs" will ever right any wrong. They only wanna exploit. The case of Twitter has only made clearer how it's gonna go (and has been going for a while, maybe). If only plebs would focus on refusing to follow false figures/role models, and their goals/cynicism. But, many paradoxes involved there, I guess. Won't risk sounding too crazy by trying to make full sense of this atm, I finally got sleepy listening to this - at 2/3 atm, may stay up till it finishes, but not with eyes open. (I like quieter pieces but I'm not sure yet, except for the Azure part and the one before it iirc) p.s. Ciprian, kudos to you for the self control, standards, etc :p

There seems to be archeology things for renown, but it's not part of the specialization, sadly. It's just for things like the Dragonscale guys etc.

Seeing how lovely these new areas are makes me wish more than ever that they'd remove the crippling view distance fog. These could be so much more.

Never played this expansion. Thought this was dragonblight.

Anyhow, point was, music alone can't "carry" a game. It has its flaws but it's still not simply popular, but inciting strong feelings for sure. Love/hate relationship mostly, but with emphasis on love, for many, still, even if they aren't returning frequently.
Tbh music won't be what will have carried it this time, especially, if it proves to be a successful expansion in the long run. Ppl seem to be as greedy as the company itself, just asking and asking for more and better content. If they don't get it they won't stop whining and roasting everything (sometimes justly ofc). In fact, most whine regardless, usually. World needs to chill in general tho, but.... complaining about entertainment may be better than...other things.
Who wants to criticize themselves, for example? (without overdoing it, preferably)

That's obvious too ...that the music has been better I mean (dunno about lately but still) - the whole direction of gaming/entertainment _industry_ is based on the formula of a good package (be it sharper graphics+/good OSTs, and just popular chars/franchises) but mediocre features/depth tho, I think... Ppl being hyped shouldn't be a thing since at least 5 years ago, every game has been rushed etc even before that mark. I'd argue bread n circus will be over soon anyway, but that's for another topic n time.
That said, it's not 100% bad to be playing your fav game(s) as long as you're able to. But knowing they'll never be the same (generally speaking) should help you not be addicted to them, and appreciating them (and everything else while you're at it) for what they are - or better yet, play them as you want to, if that's still an option...
Also, let's not even write off the new expansion without seeing it released first, lolz. You never know, we could be wrong. Well, some weren't satisfied with Legion which was pretty good, and such ppl will always whine as if a game getting everything right (whatever that means, past a certain point, for different ppl with different preferences) is something easy, but hey.
There sure seems to be more depth this time tho, just with the new talents and potential story. Gearing has always been a prob for me and it gets worse now that I want to use more chars, but I can't dismiss that they've taken some steps to find *some* balance... the parts with the excessive grind, they can keep em for other types of players tho, I'm not bothering like I used to.

I can risk being seen as a failed prophet tho, as most ppl seem to think I'm one, by default. And yet, I'm almost always vindicated, mwahaha. It just takes ppl time to admit I was right (those who are capable of that behavior). Oh well.
To be honest tho, I shouldn't talk much about WoW, as I've barely played/seen enough content after WotLK, or even before it, in reality xD
Maybe except for WoD and Legion, but I never do endgame, so.....
Just the talents add something old&new tho, and I could just be content with them, depending on how many pts twinks get at each bracket.
I think the music is really lame. It all sounds the same now. It doesn't feel like anything magical anymore.
Correction: the music has not been out for sometime. Also this soundtrack is easily the worst Blizzard has ever made.

I would say that what it lacks the most is variety. You have to trust me on this: you need to give it some time and play the game while listening to the music. Of course, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Pretty disappointing. I don't think we'll ever get a MoP or WoD tier soundtrack out of this company again. This does not sound like WoW music at all.
It's certainly a bit different than before. But just give it some time. And play the game!

Considering I'll never step into the game until Bobby's out and the game''s path dramatically changes (so.. most likely never), this content helps a lot with getting the vibe of the new expansions, thank you for that.

None of the non "plebs" will ever right any wrong. They only wanna exploit.
The case of Twitter has only made clearer how it's gonna go (and has been going for a while, maybe).
If only plebs would focus on refusing to follow false figures/role models, and their goals/cynicism. But, many paradoxes involved there, I guess. Won't risk sounding too crazy by trying to make full sense of this atm, I finally got sleepy listening to this - at 2/3 atm, may stay up till it finishes, but not with eyes open.
(I like quieter pieces but I'm not sure yet, except for the Azure part and the one before it iirc)
