That game is super rare with those extras I have only seen 1 time in my lifetime and it was priced higher than that but to be fair it still had some of seal broken off tho.

ChoroQ is a pretty unique game. I'll be interested to hear what you guys think of it. The Vasteel seller should have done a better job of explaining why he had it priced at $500 (which is reasonable for Vasteel with the sleeve). FYI - Exile: Wicked Phenomenon also has a cardboard sleeve like Vasteel (and is also expensive).
Hopefully the Exile Wicken Phenomenon sleeve goes all the way around the game 🤔

PriceCharting to me isnt the end all price for things, especially with how dynamic and unreliable the average can be made. And if its $5 more, why am i gonna bother? I'd rather wait and save for a deal.

It's crazy to see turbo cds out in the world. I don't think I've come across any. I have a mini but I haven't even thought to go down that expensive rabbit hole. Maybe some day I'll try but the prices are tough, rightfully so and understandable of course though. Great vid

god i remember when n3 2 came out.... EVERYONE HATED IT lol it never sold and no one wanted it with how bad it was compared to the first at the time.... crazy seeing it go up in price

When you come back to So Cal, You guys should try a store called Rats Nest its not far from the Ontario Convention Center. Its a shop with a early 2000s Hot Topic aesthetic. With retro games, and arcade machines and many more. Its a great local shop for me and I think you both would love it !

If the goal is to buy the game and they are available online, it would probably be cheaper to buy online than a trip to a convention.

the firt thing that peopel either threw out or got destroyed over time is paper and cardboardpackaging, sowith it inmint state even is totally where the expensiveness is coming from
you willnot be finding it any cheaper WITH the cardboard, but if you just want the game, loose disc goes for 210 so if you really want the game youcan get itmuch cheaper.

Waiting has worked and backfired on me. As you know I’m doing the vita set 286/317 currently. I waited almost a year and half for ar no surge and breach and clear at prices I’d pay. But now games like farming simulator 18 I skipped go for absurd prices. Like man I don’t wanna pay $60-80 for that game.

I don’t see any solds for that vasteel slipcover. If resellers are gonna start factoring in unsold listings maybe us buyers should start factoring the 2 dollars people pay at a garage sale 😂.
Edit: I guess there are 2 solds in the past year. Maybe my search parameters didn’t go back enough but either way I’d expect a bit under 500 especially cash.

Because that's what we understood the value to be. Once we looked it up with the sleeve afterward, we realized that he could ask a bit more. That being said, the game has sold with the sleeve for $300 recently, so it's all water under the bridge at this point 🙂

I would've walked away from the guy with vasteel and not bought a thing. I know the game is rare but that price with the sleeve is insane.
I still don't get the hype for that original FF7. The graphics aged so bad, even at the time when I played it (like 20 years ago) and it makes the whole thing look like a comedy. I never was able to get into it and always wished they did a 2d version back when Gladly it got a good version now. That box is cool tho--

The slip cover for Vasteel is more rare than the game itself.

Pretty much. I've been looking for the slip cover for almost 2 years. Actually recently just found Punisher on Sega Genesis CIB and actually had the little stick on tattoo. Cost me $150 more than originally planned for but honestly well worth it.
360 total for both!?!? Dude Vasteel with slip cover goes for way more than 300. I’m happy the dude stuck to his guns.
Yep, same here. That's why we found out later about the slip cover and mentioned it. We want him to get what he wants on that game 🙂

If your going to be cheap on price knowing the price and not paying it then you deserve to pay the reseller ebay price. Be kind to your community and just pay what a seller asks otherwise you dont deserve to have buyers remorse when you never bought it in the first place

Watching this reminds me all of games I have in basement. I left them sealed, thinking I will play them one day. Years later, I still left them sealed. Unlike most people who like sports games, I like RPGs and Strategy games. 😊
Absolutely love this couples energy. Imagine love on the spectrum, but the couple has settled down in love, and currently hunt retro games! (I'm also on the spectrum and this is so sick! This is goals! also I love the show love on the spectrum!)

...nways, that seller probably thinks Vasteel will possibly get higher obviously since the TurboGrfx engine is trending right now for retrogamers, but you'd probably yet to see more of it in the open market, just not on these conventions. Ive spotted some on garage sale videos ive watched, so unless you'd go out your way to look for them in the wilds, you'd be finding these priced speculatively.

I haven't seen vasteel in person and with the cover besides the one I bought years ago. I remember buying a extra turbo duo, a jaguar , and a 3do and a few games each . Cause they were on clearance. At the old video game exchange, I always liked the store because they let you try the used and sometimes demos of new games

Hello JRPG life! I have been watching your videos for a few months now, back when I didn't have my own account, but now I do and I subscribed to you (and hit the like button for this video). I love these kinds of videos so much as it is JRPG collecting. You even sometimes collect Japanese imports, which for me, is the highlight of this series. I use the Switch as my primary console of choice to play new and old games (mostly new as of late), but I want my video game collection to be a collection Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2 games when it comes out) and a few non-Nintendo console Japanese games such as the Dreamcast, PC-FX, and PS3. I love video game Japanese collecting, so that's why I love your channel.

Also, there is one game that I recommend that you play that is coming out this summer is Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 (Pawapuro 2024-2025) by Konami and it is the latest entry in the long running series that never got chance outside Japan. While it is in Japanese, the baseball gameplay segment of the game does not require any knowledge of Japanese in order to play. The series is known for its arcadey and simple, yet very addictive gameplay. It is coming to Switch and PS4 (you can buy either version) in July 18th only in Japan, but you can preorder (or order) it at PlayAsia. And the opening of the game is amazing and nostalgic. I know you usually don't buy stuff from PlayAsia or buy Japanese imports, but please take this recommendation into consideration. You will enjoy it and have a blast with this game with the baseball gameplay alone, which will last you for hours and hours.
