Wow! Imprisoned, fed upon, denied warmth, sun, companionship and cleanliness, starved most days and now beaten for amusement? Is there anything Listener won't be made to endure down here?
Pretty dark that Listener was in such pain with so little hope that he was briefly considering unaliving them. So glad they are on thier way to freedom. Hope they can stop more people from being hurt and maybe come back for the other prisoners. Perhaps they could set up some sort of hospital to help them repair their broken psyches.
