    My first time on a scooter was on KohTao and I went up steep road that turned dirt and I got scared and had to bring it back after 15 minutes. I saw someone wipe out on that hill and got serious road rash and then had to pretty much buy the scooter. I want to learn but need to practice on flat areas and paved first

      yeah - riding a scooter for the first time is super scary, totally get it. there's so many people here who just hop on one and go 60 and hurt themselves, definitely best to not drive if you don't feel good about it. hope you get a chance to practice soon!

      Me too someday at the top of the very pot holding horrible dirt mountain to climb I realize there’s just no way I can continue and when I turn the scooter around a 20 point turn laughing and look down the hill I was panicked and couldn’t move and a very nice couple from South America Wrote it down the hill for me so I could bring it back and the business tried to say I dropped it but I never dropped it and I had pictures to prove it I hope you were taking pictures of your scooters before you rented them like every square inch of them because sometimes you can get blamed for things she didn’t do I was glad I took pictures

    A scuba refresher is always a good idea.
    Also I know you are on vacation and stuff but always treat the ocean with the respect it deserves and follow all of the rules of diving.
    We thought we were above the rules one time, even made plans with the dive master.
    My dad passed.
    Rules are made for a reason. Regret having to go up early etc. don’t have regrets like a dead dad.

    I've always been kind of nervous about renting scooters to get around. When we were in Rarotonga, I just took the one bus because I wasn't sure I would do well. I definitely relate to Lisa's hesitancy to get going! Good job doing new things 🛵

    • @LisaAndJosh
      @LisaAndJosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ha yeah - it takes some getting used to for sure. i'm sure you'd figure it out quick. totally worth it :) it's the way to get around here

      @@LisaAndJosh we rented our scooters in Phuket via our host. And a private taxi driver to visit the big buddha. Which was one of the best experiences in my life. Wouldn’t want to miss it.

      Rarotonga is fun on a scooter, 30km around twice a day.. not much else to do.
      Oh.. forgot about climbing the volcano.

    I’ll never forget our ferry ride from Phuket to Coh Phi Phi. Just as bad!! We had to walk through engine room and try not to fail against any burning hot engine parts!! There were some “guide pipes” we had to walk between
