      Art is just an expert with the Browning shotguns. Probably the best in the USA as far as his knowledge and care for the details.
      Art restored my dad's old A5 that became mine after his passing. The gun was bought new in 1903 by his father so its a family heirloom with some real value to me. My dad would be upset that it was restored to like new condition, but I did it for my granddad in honor & love for him. It is the only gun that I ever shot a triple kill, downing 3 white wing dove all flying together & my dad sitting right beside me.

    11-04-23. I just received my Superposed Pigeon back from Art's where it needed a rewelded forearm extension where it cracked at the latch point (see his very helpful video about this), replacement salt wood forend (same video), and receiver rebuild (same video). Wow, this gun is virtually now like new, actually better as the Browning mistakes are now fixed. It only took about five weeks for all this to be finished, which I find exceptional as they are VERY busy. The price is right for the quality of the work they do. I actually took the gun to their business as it is not too far to drive there for me, really fun experience. This is NOT your typical gun shop with glass display case and rack of guns for sale behind it. When you enter it is Art's Gunsmith Shop as you find workbenches covered with tools and gun parts, receivers and barrels hanging from hooks all around, stocks, etc. Art and his son, (and dogs) are just like in the videos: friendly and people who you will trust, really great people to do business with, people you will count as friends.

    Art, another fun video. Question: I bought a1st year production grade 1 Belgian BAR in 30-06 at a local auction; the previous owner had electro-penciled his SSN on the under-side of the receiver next to the trigger guard, and I did not notice it until at home. Is that something that can be refinished, or is it cost-prohibitive?

    Art love that video hay did Browning ever make an A5 in a 410 gauge

    • @browningbelgium2326
      @browningbelgium2326 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm no expert but I believe the answer is no. Only Superposed were made in Belgium starting in 1962-75. The closest you'll get to an A5 .410 is a BPS but made in Japan. Don't quote me on everything.

    Art I’m looking for a 12ga 1148 barrel, I bought this 1148 and someone had cut down the barrel. Would you be able to point me in the direction I need to go to find one? Or if you have any laying around you’d like to sell. Thanks

    Very nice. As Info: You guys need to dump and stop using PayPal. I will not buy from you again until you have another method of payment as PayPal allows your email address to get out and you get inundated with spam.
    Love Art's Gun Shop though but you need to get modern.

      It`s been my experience that a lot of good guns got thrown in the closet and forgotten or sold for parts because they could`nt get a part to fix them. At least he`s letting people know he has those parts.
