@@599CD The reason I asked is because I have a combo box for finding values based on typing using the onchange event and the afterupdate fires when I move away from the control without selecting anything. It's based on a vid you did using the technique.

What is the deference between After Update And After Insert? When After Insert trigger? any Examples?
After INSERT is after you INSERT a new record. :)
Do you know why the field's after update event would fire for a combo box where nothing was actually selected before clicking on another field ?
If a value isn't selected in the combo box then it wasn't updated so it's not going to fire the event
