Having watched a lot of your tutorials I decided to get a copy of Ableton, it's a 90 day trial, I got the lite version with an M Audio purchase so I'll save a few bucks when the time comes, I can follow your LoFi tuts more easily as well, great videos, really well done for that! ;D
Thank you! This is genre I've been trying to learn lately. I think my problem is that I add too much stuff in and now I see that it's pretty simple after all. I also download ableton while ago and it's cool to see how much you can do with just that. You don't need anything special. I have previous experience with ableton, so I have the basics, but new things are constantly coming
Whenever I make ambient genres like this I always end up obsessing about phase and mono compatibility. In your opinion how much should I care about that stuff in ambient music and how do other artists achieve these huge, lush pad sounds that still seem to collapse to mono?? Thanks Will, I've really learned a lot from your content 🙏🏻
I wouldn’t be overly concerned, just pan and EQ your pads accordingly. Keep a bass or simple pad in mono and have your other sounds panned/align delayed around it
Happy to see Future Garage getting some love. Lovely video, Will.

Keeping it simple is definitely the way and with Ableton, it's so easy to do just that, use all the onboard plugins and you're set!
Amazing video!!
Thank you!

I love future garage ♥️
please make tutorial with Future Garage music like: Vacant, Phelian, Azaleh, Volor Flex, Bucky etc.
They're all inspirations of Burial who has initiated Future Garage in the first place.
lovely stuff! where can we hear the full track ?
... been having a go on this ... loving it
Unfortunately, this is all that exists!
Appreciate the kind words though
any recommended packs for this genre?
first time i’m early
Happy you made it bud!
legend! Don't skip the Valhalla settings next time. I was assuming a slower decay?
thanks for the lesson, I'm making a future garage on a Yamaha qy70 device, please rate it
Great tutorial , which delay do you use for hihat pattern ? I didn't find this
Do you mean swing? I added “Swing Logic 16ths 64-1” from the Groove Pool
please how do I get my hi hats to sound as nice as Sorrow's? 😭😭
This music kinda reminds me of them Giraffage days
Damn! 2010-2012 such a good era for electronic music
could you open up a slot for me in your Patreon 1 lesson a month?
