Such an underrated band! I love their music sonically. Rocky/metal 80's vibe. I've meet them personally a couple of times late '22 and early '23 when they were on tour. Such super nice and down to earth people. I love them!!! I would recommend "Pins and Needles" for the next song. "Looking Glass" is also another great one.

I don't know if you've heard the track "Blue" but it's the best track they've ever made imo. It's a masterpiece and is the perfect representation of their sound. It was my introduction and it has this back and forth tonal shift in it that amazed me! Try find the remastered video since the original one from the early 00's only had low SD quality and was never updated until recently when an uploader out of nowhere suddenly released an HD version with much better sound and video quality.

I first heard this band thanks to a free download that came with a horror magazine’s e-newsletter. Think it was near Halloween, and one of their instrumentals was free. Kind of surprising in hindsight considering the singer’s good voice. But female-fronted bands are very cool, and this is utterly modern Goth synth-rock.

"Beyond" if you'd like to hear the more upbeat and shimmery side of their music, "Blue" for more horror elements

One of my top favorite bands from my local region.
The lead singer, Chibi, said they picked the name The Birthday Massacre to make something that sounded both horror and cute.
A lot of the art for their songs and albums is heavily inspired by Alice In Wonderland, a more grim style of it.
A lot of their songs are electronic gothic in style and the lyrics mixed with the sound make it very ethereal.

An absolute must to listen to from The Birthday Massacre is Walking With Strangers. It's a bop of a song even if the lyrics are quite distressing, but most Birthday Massacre songs are quite horrifying if you understand the meanings of them.
    Another good one is Fascination.

I remember when I first got into The Birthday Massacre and I loved them pity I’ve never been able to see them live tickets sell like wildfire

If anyone is confused about the video. She was fighting herself. The song is about another side of herself. And it consumed her, in a very literal sense.

Very underrated band, and a really cool live band with what seems like abit of gothic style on all the band members, and a genre that can sound both abit Pop-ish to straight rock-metal,alot of synths-keyboard instrumentals. Its a sad thing that YT doesnt have anymore official music videos or live performances for more of theyr songs, then they have.
One song you would love if you checked it out,its on YT but just as a still picture and audio: The Birthday Massacre - Sleepwalking. If you do give this one a go,you will understand why its one of my favourites and why i have wanted a music video for it on youtube, for years! A fan uploaded a better resolution for another favourite of mine, wich has a video. Many people call the Michael Myers theme, because it sounds like a horror soundtrack: The Birthday Massacre - Blue HD 720 (Just paste that into the search bar on youtube and it will show, its much better then the super small original upload) Im glad to see a reaction channel give them some well deserved "promotion",they been around for years, still i feel like they deserve soo much more recognition for theyr unique style and sound. Wonderful personalities in the band too!

I read somewhere that the band initially called themselves 'Imajica' - inspired by horror / fantasy writer Clive Barker's novel of the same name. I wonder if they thought he was too tame and unimaginative LOL

According to Chibi they changed it to The Birthday Massacre to give it a more cute but still horror sounding name.
