@@adrianfrick795 I was just glad the turkeys were keeping quiet, their gobble can be heard over a km away! I think they know I won't feed them if they wake me up!😂🤣
@@adamssecretgarden Same to you Sue, I've been keeping quite busy taking care of my folks and it has been keeping me from watching as many videos as I would like to, seems all I ever feel like doing is sleep.
@@Littleanimalsarecute I read that turkey populations used to be so low they stopped allowing them to be hunted, now I'm reading that there are so many of them that they are causing problems in town. We've been here over 40 years and never used to see them until 5-6 years ago. The first year they were here I enjoyed them, lately they are more annoying anything.🤣🦃
Really nice Derek. I have a buddy that has 80 acres and he said it was hard to hunt turkeys because they have excellent eye sight and detect even a blink of an eye. From what i see on Amy's channel and your channel they won't even leave you alone.😂😂😂 sounds like we will get a big snow storm tomorrow, maybe that we scare them away.😂😂 Take care buddy and stay warm.🤗
I've heard that turkeys are one of the hardest animals to hunt as well, I've also seen videos of them attacking people. I've yet to feel intimidated or threatened by any of them even when they have babies around. I do think they have excellent camouflage and trying to sneak up on them in the brush and trees is probably almost impossible. One trick they have is becoming motionless, the babies do this and I've almost stepped on a couple since they blend in so well. I caught a couple, just to see what the mother would do, she just makes a bunch of noise trying to gather them all together. I always make sure they are reunited so the little ones don't get lost.
@@wildlifeathomei have heard the same thing. Then again, i had a baby deer with spots only 2 feet away from me in tall grass that i didn't notice. They don't move and blend into the grass even with white spots. Natures way of survival.😊
@@Littleanimalsarecute Unfortunately the chimes don't scare anything away, but you have me wondering if there are chimes that make a certain sound hawks don't like.
@Littleanimalsarecute worldbirds.com/how-to-keep-hawks-away/ I just found this site, hopefully TH-cam doesn't delete this link before you get a chance to check it out, it has a few good ideas and talks about wind chimes among other things.

Are the wind chimes to keep hawks away? If so, do they work? (And even it not..)

@ Someone commented it to me today, and it’s got me wondering too.
