This was a fun video to watch. I want to add that in 1968, the 327 went from the small journal crankshaft to the large journal unit. Plus, some half tons were optioned with the HD rear leaf suspension. My 1968 has both of those options, as well as the front sway bar and the Carter Quadrajet 4MV four-bbl carburetor. It's from the Fremont California plant.
1980 one you shown was the silverado front end with the square headlights and grille. I got a 1980 c10 with the round headlights and blacked out grille.
Great video! Cool to see this style of video added to your lineup in addition to your event coverage and project builds. Can't wait to see what's next.
Thanks for the review! I love your editing 😎. Yes, the trucks crowd is just awesome (I blame you guys for our 6 trucks)….btw patiently awaiting my swag🤟🏻😎🇺🇸
Good info and topic. Crazy how long square body trucks were produced compared to the 67-72 models. I have a 68 which imo is the absolute best looking year. But I’m biased. Appreciate you taking the time to put this video together.
in the early 80s i had a 71 c10 6 cylinder 3 speed. same creamy green color as your clickbait. swapped the 6 out for a junk yard 327 4 bbl. left everything else alone. with the stock 3 speed and gears it would top out at 90 but off the line would lift the front tires. snappiest vehicle i ever had. if i wound it up it would sit and spin both rear tires and wouldnt even move. (or hop so bad it shook your fillings out)
@Josh we need more of this. We have had a 70 in my fam for over 40 years which I just got (needs full restoration) and squarebodies my entire life but so much you covered I did not know. Great info. Will you be doing one of these for OBS and newer.
The square body truck has been modified in every possible way and in my opinion there is no other car or truck that can accomplish this feet and look so good in every modified way.
The reason they went away from torsion bars is Chrysler sued them for copying their design and that why gm never had them until the patent expired and brought back the torsions in 1988 and still run them today
I love your content man, however you mentioned them for a brief moment, but forgot to include them in the video, the gmt400 platform was still part of the C/K series of trucks. Not trying to dog on your content or anything, like I said I love your content and love all your trucks, just confused as to why you didn’t include them 😂 Keep up with the great videos man!
Outstanding video, Josh. Love it!
Much appreciated!
Love it!! Why do I feel there's a Blazer, Suburban, and OBS trucks episodes are around the corner.
I went through a bit of a crisis. Thanks for being my friend🙂

One of your best videos Josh, very informative.
Nice content on the history of the GM truck line. Nice change of pace. MORE CAMO HOODIES!!!😂🤣
Thanks for the history lesson! Great info.
Yeah Buddy!
Haha that 2 tone blue 88 in the end is absolutely identical to the 88 my grandpa bought brand new

Thank you, sir!
Felt a shift in your style in this one to include some more comedy. Loved it! Keep up the good work homie.

Very interesting. I'll forget 90 percent of what you said but I can always watch the video when I need a history lesson. :)
🤣
Yeah buddy! I like to listen to Ronnie on C10 talk. That's the 1st place I heard that saying. The trucks are cool but the people are cooler.
Very informative, I likey.

Yes sir! I'll be doing these on all kinds of vehicles. 😎

Great info. Question what size was the camo hoodie you were wearing. Me and you ate about the same size and build so I wanna get a reference.
I'm rocking an XL hoodie, long sleeve and t-shirt in this video.
I always found it amusing that GM liked to attach the word "turbo" to everything that didn't have a turbo on it.

So much changed with the OBS trucks that they will get their own video. 😂
@@yeahbuddygaragefair enough 🤣 can’t wait to watch it!
Love it
i didnt have my glasses on and thought i was watching a "Donut" video
You know you gotta do obs next
You know it!
Off topic, did you c notch your Blazer?
No sir. It has a 4/6 drop and hits every once in a while.
How is it if you have people sitting in back seat?
1971 went to disc brakes and 5x5 bolt pattern on the 2wd trucks. Kind of a big deal.
Love the Video!! but.. i don't mean to be "that guy" but you could get the 402 "400" in 1970....
Be strong.
But how many gators can you fit into a astro van 🎉🎉🎉
we are all a bunch of car guys . we dont need a history lesson on these trucks . we already know
✌️
