Absolutely! This was a great pic of great places. And more to explore on a next visit. It's quite a lively beach-town.

Si, que lastima. Suena como un sitio para investigar en nuestra próxima visita a Jaco. Ya encontré su ubicación. Quien sabe para otro video. Gracias por mencionarlo y por ver nuestro video. 😄

Hi guys enjoy your videos thank you..Also think it's pretty cool you are Dutch as my wife's family is from Holland. Do you now live in costa rica? We are planning a trip in October to costa rica is that a good time of year to come down? Basically doing la fortuna to tortuguero, porto Viejo..

Happy to read that and thanks for watching. Which part from Holland does your wife come from? And where are you from yourself? We don't officially live in Costa Rica but have been here for little over 3 1/2 years now, travelling around the country while doing house & pet sitting and making our videos. Eventually it's the plan to travel further and explore other countries. We stranded here end of 2020 and decided to stick around for a while. As for your trip, the Caribbean side of Costa Rica experiences the best weather of the year in October, while on the Pacific coast and many other places it's the peak of the rain season or green season. Day time will be mostly sunny. Evening showers are possible, but not the norm. As for La Fortuna you might experience more rain but again, some days it can rain all day as much as you can have days without any or just in the late afternoons/evenings. That being said, the green season also means that everything blooms and blossoms, the rivers are at their best and waterfalls too. As well as for migratory birds that are only visible during these times a year.

Thank you guys for your reply, my wife was actually born in canada but her mother and family were from Rotterdam but they still love the Dutch heritage. Myself I was born in Ireland but like many I moved to Canada. Thank you for the info we are actually going to stay at the Blue Bay because of your video but hope we don't have 4 days of rain! All of your Costa Rican videos were very informative and we wish the best wherever you move onto, you have a unique kinda easy watching style you show in the videos, take care...Dave & Carrie

@@dave_irish Hi there David and Carrie. Thank you very much, I'm really happy to read that you enjoy our video format. Blue Bay is an amazing place with stunning sunsets. Make sure to mention to Cindy that you come due our video as she provides discounts to those who come on our behalf. We were actually back there a little over a month ago. And how nice about your wife's heritage, I'm from Rotterdam myself, although I mainly grew up in Southern Spain.

@BakkerfeelingAdventures Hello Bastiaan and Yolanda thank you again for your reply and yes we will mention to Cindy about your discount at Blue Bay.
Really appreciate again all the great videos that have helped us organize our trip to Costa Rica.
What was it about the country that made you decide to go there? How did you find out about to do house and pet sitting? Sorry for the questions I just find it interesting why people travel and what motivates them?..Thanks again

@@dave_irish Hi there and no worries about the questions, I enjoy answering them. Travelling has always been our passion and together we have been all over the globe. However we wanted to do this non-stop so we decided to quit our jobs, sell everything and go for it. Initially we wanted to start in Australia and had it all worked out until Covid. We were stuck in Holland for 4 months until some border started to open but only 4 actually did. As we knew we wanted to do house sits, we looked for opportunities and Costa Rica was the only one that had something available so we just took a leap of faith and went for it. Never with any intention to stay here longer than 3 months, we also never been here and knew nothing about the country. As soon as we got here, border closed again. So we basically made the best of the situation and luckily many house sit opportunities come along. We also changed our travel channel into a Costa Rica travel channel and before we knew it, 3 years have past. We did get to explore this amazing country in detail and we are very happy and grateful for that. Out of all the countries we have visited so far (55), this one is on our top 3 without a doubt. The house sit gig we found out (well, Yolanda did) while researching how to travel the world without breaking the bank. There are official websites and unofficial FaceBook groups where one can find or offer assignments. They come in all sorts and shapes. It really is an amazing way to explore an area while staying in beautiful houses with all expenses paid for. Except food and petrol of course but water, electra, house keeping, etc are all included. Besides. we both love animals and as we work on our laptops, we spend a lot of time at home with the animals. It really is a win-win for everybody. We have a set of videos about house and pet sitting and the ins and outs if you'd be interested to learn more or perhaps it's something you and Carrie want to do. As for our motivation to travel, we love to see all that the world has to offer. From natural wonders to man made highlights, exploring different cultures and trying new foods. Seeing how people live so differently in each country with different types of believes and ways of living is quite interesting. All of it never cease to amaze us. And having the freedom to just go with the wind to explore it all is a mayor drive for us as well. Also trying out various method of transport. Videography and editing started as a hobby along the way and became a passion that led to having our TH-cam travel channel.

Hi there, I noticed that you haven't made a long video for about three months. I hope everything is okay? Are you taking a break from making videos? I'm currently working on another vlog series, this time across the historical areas in Rome, so I hope that you will be around to watch those when they go on the channel.

Hi there. How nice of you to ask. Unfortunately my external hard drive broke and 5,5 Terabytes of material that we shot over the past few years got lost. We brought it to a Data Recovery Centre (not cheap) but it was beyond repair. By bad as well for not having done a back-up for more than 2 years so it was quite a bummer to say the least. Especially the time I put into creating my own stock footage library and research on flora & fauna. The only bright side is that all our videos are out and I was working from the stock footage library. Down side is that without material it's hard to make new videos. It also kicked a dent into the motivation. Over the past year all our electronics have lost the battle against humidity, including my MacBook. So yes, a break was in order. Along with our entire year planning being canceled we came to terms of seeing the signs for us to see that Costa Rica has served its purpose. Time to continue with what we started: Our journey around the world! We covered Costa Rica and we have a vast library of videos plus our daily trivia Shorts are set util next year to keep things running. So we are taking a break from house sitting and video making and we have started research and planning for our biggest adventure yet: The PanAmerican highway. The channel will also be rebranded to an all round travel channel again with new ideas and a new format. I also want to get back into vlogging rather than doing just the voice overs. Starting the trip itself around spring next year in Alaska and ending 18-24 months later in the end of the world in Argentina. We will have video releases before that of course, I still have a few projects pending. So things are in progress behind the screens. We are very ambitious and have some really exciting plans for time to come. Do stay tuned! 😄 I will also be on the lookout for your upcoming vlogs. Rome is another amazing place. Looking forward to see what you are working on! Hope you're doing well.

@BakkerfeelingAdventures Nice to hear from you, I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your footage, hard drive, and MacBook! That must have been really gutting and no doubt didn't do the motivation a favour! But it's good to hear that you're already planning your next chapter in your travelling adventure! Up, up and awwwwaaayyy!!

Much appreciated. We do believe all happens for a reason so we focus on a fresh restart and continuing our travels. Otherwise we might have been extending our stay here longer than needed. Time again for a real up up.. and away! 😄👆
