How about instead of holding social media companies responsible, we hold the parents responsible for allowing their children to use cell phones and be participating in social media at a young age?

One easy fix is not giving your kids social media at a young age unless you’re monitoring it

Social media is for young adults, not for kids.

There’s literally kid app for kids but we all know they are never on it.

Social media didn’t give the kids iPhones 📱 the parents did.

It’s the parents fault that they let their kids and teenagers on social media not the company’s fault if y’all don’t want them on social media don’t let them on it my little sister and I weren’t allowed on any social media websites at all until we graduated from high school if we got caught using one of them we would have been in trouble

These parents refuse to accept that they are the ones responsible for what happened to their kids by allowing their kids to use social media in the first place and failing to see the what was going on under their own roof.

I definitely believe social media companies need to take further steps to better safeguard our youth, especially underage people. The children, teens, young adults of today are the people of tomorrow and we need to see that they grow up safe to lead the generations of the future. I'm only 38 but I LOVE hearing and seeing news stories of youth empowerment. I also love watching child stars grow up in the spotlight and watch their careers blossom into superstardom 🌟 But on the flip side of all that, we also need to educate our youth on how to handle and respond to social media. Once someone posts something, it's either online forever or until someone deletes it. Social media has the power to make someone a star ⭐ or to destroy someone's life so beware of the trolls 👿
