Apart from the annoying pink line that seems to dog the s7, yeah it was a top phone, loved mine until I got the line. Then had an upgrade and decided to go for the s9+ as I was afraid the s10 would be jumping up on price like the iPhone x did. I was wrong. Still the s9+ is a great phone

As much as I love using the headphone jack myself when I run / go the gym, unfortunately most manufacturers are parting away with it, samsung will eventually also. 3.5mm jack is a reliable connection that has been around for decades, but it does have its limitations in functionality, size scaling, and water/dust ingress protection. I don't think wireless headsets are a perfect replacement. I do wish there was another wired audio port standard better suited for today's mobile technology.
Honestly bluetooth headphones are so much more convenient/awesome if you can shell out for it (thinking AirPods/Galaxy Buds) and I totally forgot about headphone jacks. Fewer and fewer people use it
Yes, with the current state of technology I prefer to have a jack built in. That'll probably change in time, but we're not there yet.
I am certain S11 will not have a headphone jack.
If they include the buds instead in the box, it would be a viable alternative.
The major problem with wireless headphones is you have to charge them. With reverse wireless charging, that shouldn't be a problem.

For me S8+ was super revolutionary, the design totally destroyed the competition at it's time and even by today it looks like a brand new design, not mentioning how it brought some new features like the Iris scanner and type C connection, also BIXBY😂 I'm jk.
I like Bixby I still can't tell what people hate about it, and now you can remap the button as well.
Then S8 cause other phone companies follow the trend of 18:9 aspect ratio display.

Same here. Just bought a s9+ but I will sell it and stick with my s7 for at least a year or two longer. Maybe upgrade to a s10 or s20 then. Dont like how big and clumsy the s9+ is.

@@binozia-old-2031 No it's not, if you follow the PC market the difference between a processor from 10 years ago and today is huge(my i7 6700K/2015 feels outdated compares to current high end CPUs/2019), at the rate at which it's advancing a s20 maybe able to play gta 4 forexample which is a big jump performance-wise for handheld devices.
Tech works in cycles, there'd be major 2 jumps atleast. S10 is 60 Hz, S20 can be 120Hz or more easily. Besides they're experimenting on fold phones, Sony is trying smth different with the rotating phones and who knows what kind of phone we'd see in 10 years which is the norm you never know.

Dude, bezel less would imply that there wasn’t a big chin and forehead, which Galaxy phones STILL have to some extent. They still can’t replicate Apple’s bottom chin-less bezel, so the iPhone X is the first bezel less phone if you aren’t blind.

I tried owning a samsung smart phone years ago. Might be the 3rd one in. I only had it for a week. Had to give it back to us cellular because it was giving me headaches. I figured just looking at such a small screen was the problem. So I went back to a flip phone. Now I'm going to get a s10! So excited to finally be up to date! Lol

the first s I held was S3 and I fell in love with it. I never knew apple at the time but the s3 made me a samsung fan
Still got my Galaxy S7. It's perfect in every way. Calls are perfect. Pictures and video are beyond incredible. Multiple emails, texts. Got all my apps loaded. What more does one want?
I had the S7, the low score is due to it actually being a less powerful device than the S6. The S6 in the US used an Exynos 8 core chip, the S7 has a snapdragon quad core.
My first Galaxy S phone was the S3, that thing we sweet then I got an S5, still using it after 4 years 🙃

@Tamppuss123 the S10+ is by far the best although when I got the S8+ i felt like a boss. The s10+ is amazing. The UI, how smooth it feels, the features even the animations. I have the ceramic and this is the most premium phone I've held.
My s7 edge was the best. Never had any issues aside from the battery getting shittier after 2.5 years. Finally swapped it for an S10 couldn't be happier however the s7 will always remain in my heart as one of the best Samsung phones. I had the iPhone 5s before that phone and it was because of the s7 edge that I decided to switch and stay with Samsung.
If this is a decade worth of phones then I can't even imagine what the next decade phones will look like or if we will even have "phones" anymore
I sure can, and so do most people who have noticed that smartphone performance has effectively plateaued. Unlike 10 years ago, ten years from now, a ten year old phone will be perfectly capable of being a daily driver for most people as far as hardware goes.
Still using galaxy S9 since Oct 2018 till this date and man it's been a fine ride with phone and it's still good❤👏
I actually have a friend who has had an S7 Edge as her first phone, and just recently got an S10 Plus as a new phone. So happy for her and am finally realizing that Samsung makes great phones! 😂

Yea, I had wireless charging on my note 3 and note 4, note 3 has that giant usb3 port the s5 had.. I now have note 9, and love it, its learning more about me everyday, itd starting to predict the words that I would usually type

I thought I was the only one that kept all my old phones. I have all of mine going back to February 1990. Amongst them, my first Samsung was a flip-phone from 2000. Later I get a Note 2, Note 4, S8 and now S10.
My favorite feature was the ir blaster on the s5. I could change the channel on the TV without fighting with my gf over the remote lol. I could even turn on an air conditioner with that.
Too bad they shortly did away with that feature. They need to bring it back!
