Suspect in FHP trooper's death caught after 4-hour manhunt in Port St. Lucie neighborhood

- Multiple agencies took over a Port St. Lucie neighborhood during a more than four-hour manhunt for a suspect connected to the death of a Florida Highway Patrol trooper.
It most definitely affected the innocent truck drivers family for his wrongful death.

This truck driver needs to be more than an afterthought. He had a family also that’s going to miss him. Prayers for the drivers family and the Troopers family.

Was gonna write the same. I read about this earlier today. Apparently, Kia driver made the u-turn successfully but trooper turned into the oncoming path of a truck. Condolences, but he should've waited until the path was clear to make the turn.

The St Lucie Cty Deputy did the right thing to give it up. My condolences to the families of those lost. It hits different when you have friends and family in law enforcement who deal with this everyday. It’s tragic that the trooper and the truck driver lost their lives.

It is amazing to me that FHP is getting so much credit and airtime for the death of Fink. He killed the truck driver when turning on to the wrong side of highway to chase down the suspect. Why is it that the truck driver who was also a fatality is not mention by the media, all life matter. The truck driver also has a name and a family.
A radio call to other fellow FHP troopers is a lot faster in apprehending a fleeing Kia than a pursuit on a busy highway. Now 2 innocent people died for no reason. One being the officer and the other being the truck driver who was just doing his job. The officer should not have engaged with the suspect once the suspect decided to start driving in incoming traffic down the wrong side of the highway. I understand your adrenaline is on overdrive but c’mon, logic needs to kick in at some point. I am sure the suspect will be spending a very long time in prison.
Stop blaming cops. I'd rather have 100 cops eating donuts than have them scrambling around chasing the usual suspects again all day long. This event happened because of the criminal not the cops.
