I had an idea for this. Nightcrawler spawns in the blackout, and asks for their goggles. Once you've accepted the quest, when you interact with the goggles, you will not wear them, but instead pick them up. You would also have to do the quest in a certain timeframe, like 2 or 3 minutes. Once finding the goggles and bringing them back to the Nightcrawler, it would award you with 10,000 credits. The nightcrawler quest would also have a very rare chance of appearing, and only 1 person could do it per blackout.
And maybe for fed,shade, nightshade, and jammer like one or 2 or 3 of them are lost and the one that isn't lost asks you to find them (since I believe the four wolf goos are canonically siblings) and rewards you with a dia crate or something idk

Seeing as now we’ve got Sam the….*industrial welder???* -To give quests, I can only assume the devs will work on a more refined quest system. The only problem I can see is adding a quest/npc system that won’t make the place feel populated with NPCs. Also, really nice work! Most quality I’ve seen on one of these in a while!
Friendly Gootrax 4 quest: probable Survivor 4 quest: Probabal Hostile Gpotrax 4 quest: not likely L. Staff 4 quest: Unknown cuz I don't know if staff of it regularly go to floor -1 somehow before all means of transport got shut down in there

Another idea i had for The gold, diamond, and rainbow NPCs would be that they were a rare chance of spawning somewhere in the cave, so they’d give you greater rewards.
I would love if this were in the game it would really make people change their opinion on goos a lot i think knowing even if they were np'cs they'd still be friendly goos :D

The gold pup part if you don't kill rares it would be a good idea that they will add a backpack on your back to carry things and help the rares carry them in your backpack so they don't get killed
