Great video with Adam and his new product range, I can confirm that I will def be ordering the caddy to sit next to my tank as I have no space to left, hopefully won’t be too long before we see them in the UK.
@@ParkersReef They don't need to include rollermats, but it would be nice to be able to easily remove the filter sock area w/o modifications like the new Red Sea G2 tanks to make it easier to fit a rollermat w/o wasting space in the sump for the filter sock holders. I'm not a fan of the Klir rollermats that fit in the filter sock holders.
Cade caddy is great. They should make a salt mixing caddy in a 1200cm caddy. Have a tank inside where you can mix your salt, then you can run you're auto water change equipment really close by. just a thought.
The nano I have to question - how are you expected to clean that reservoir? It'll have to be done after some time and on a regular basis. The caddy is easily the best piece. I DIYed one for my tank for all the same reasons and it's great, so getting a pro made one that matches the rest of the line is a great buy. Hopefully not terribly overpriced.
The idea of the reservoir being blacked out is that you won’t have to clean it. Time will tell if that works, but if your RODI is clean - it should be fine. The caddy is absolutely the best bit of kit, we all need one (or more) of them!
No but in all our years of running the ATO in the back of the S2 models we've never seen anything that has needed cleaning. The key is to keep it dark down there so we've blocked all light from penetrating through the base. Also being RO water there is nothing for algae to bacteria to feed on so nothing grows.
CADE themselves do not here in Australia, but their retailers do from time to time. Which country are you in? The arrangement does vary from country to country
I got a cade S1 600. From the start these guys have quality tanks, and I'd been hoping they'd release the 2100 in white. So now I need to save some Penny's for my dream tank.🤙
I told him the S2’s should’ve came with a check valve and he said they don’t need it 🤷🏻♂️. Funny they’ve been added to the new line. I want to point my return outlets down and I can’t cause water continues to siphon until the water is below the outlets, almost filling the sump to the brim.
@@ParkersReef don’t know if anyone else has this problem but I get puddles under my tank from the condensation in my 1800 S2/P. If all the doors are closed the sump is pretty much completely closed in, apart from some holes where the overflow pipes run through the back wall. I have to keep my doors open slightly which looks shit just so I don’t get any water on my floor and in the chiller section. It’s definitely not a leak either as salinity doesn’t change and it’s been doing it since I’ve owned the tank. Just frustrating considering the price of these tanks.
Can’t say I have experienced that with my Frag S2. It does have a decent open panel at the back for ventilation though and I do have a evac fan in the room keeping humidity at 60% tops though
We think that adding an ATO chamber of any significant volume in the sump area with a dry area suitable for a chiller and electrics will displace valuable filtration realestate.
Centre overflow was definitely considered but in all our testing the corner position with the outlet on the opposite side was most efficient at suspended solid uptake, especially through the low intake. The outlet on the right side created flow towards the front panel which sweeps along the front of the scape and back to the weir. Even when adding wave makers to disrupt the main pump flow, the water overall swept from end to end. So the key thing was that so long as the debris remains suspended it ended up where it was supposed to be on the end to end design. The centre location was hit and miss and mostly resulted in settling of debris in the back of the tank on the sides of the weir and also along the corners unless wave makers were directing flow in those locations. Hope that helps explain :)
It’s definitely not meant to be the cheapest system on the market, but once you see the glass, the aluminium stand, we’ll thought out sump, gorgeous power centre - it makes sense.
@@ParkersReef where do I start. The plastic corner piece that holds the float valve they must of ran out of silicone. There was the smallest bead attaching it to the glass, came right off. One of the internal panels that has a curved corner at the top but has a little step on it which looks sharp but someone put clear silicone over it to cover the sharp step up. Where the two socks are situated they forgot to put a bead of silicone at the end so water was passing down a 2mm gap when the socks started to block. The letter box shaped hole for when the socks are blocked I think is too high. Measures 2 inches from surface of sock to bottom of letter box opening. I've worked it out, when that starts to overflow its basically robbed about 1.75 litres from the RO reservoir. Then this is the biggy for me. If I take out the media baskets and turn the main pump on I have an inline flow meter so I know how much flow I have. It starts to flow over the top of the weir when it gets to about 3 x the turnover of the whole tank. Which for me is not enough. Then if you fill the media baskets it blocks and overflows and doesn't all go through the media.
Sick ass tanks but the 🍒 on top would be external overflows. Surprises me how few companies do this unless you buy custom...in the States we have Innovative Marine that just started selling large reef kits like a cade or waterbox but with external overflow ...I wish it was standard on these luxury tanks
We used to offer an external overflow back in the earlier designs 6-7 years ago. We evolved away from that because the overflow meant you would need to position the tank from the wall about 12cm and all the plumbing would run external from within and under it which effects the aesthetics. It also meant that for the return plumbing to remain neat we had to plumb that back into the tank centrally which is not ideal for pushing debris towards the weir. With all that in mind we thought that we could hide all of that by simply making the entire system wider, installing a clean dividing black panel with weir on the left and an ATO reservoir on the right side. We've alway said that any aquarium that has an ATO reservoir designed into the sump area is almost certainly compromising valuable filtration realestate so this new addition was a big advantage in our opinion. This new design also meant we could hide all the plumbing on the inside of the tank and keep it all nice and neat which is something we consider very important. Hope that helps explain :)
Just about to order mine. can't wait!!!!
Enjoy!!!!
That white Cade is amazing 🤩 we might have to find room in the store
Absolutely!
If I am gonna purchase anything it’s a CADE. Gorgeous. Thoughtful. Innovative. Bravo.
Beautiful system that is for sure
Those CADE's are next level, just so throught out. Having a solid pre-build stand is great.
When i upgrade it will be a CADE
Pre built is a game changer, who wants to get their new setup flat packed???
So glad that real aquarists like yourself recognise and appreciate what we're doing.
Only just saw this, always good to have the ceo being so transparent, love it, love the CADE. Thanks Sam!

May or may not have put a deposit on a Cade today....
Thanks for sharing
thanks for watching!
Thank you!
Great vid and awesome equipment mate …..thanks 🏆
Thank you!!
Have we got pricing for the Altumate S2 ????
I've tagged Cade Australia to your question on Facebook - hopefully they can respond soon :)
Will the caddy be available in white?
indeed it is :)
Please make tanks with rollermat options soon.
as in a roller mat from CADE or just a sump that is ready to accept one?

Do you have to drain the ato If you want to add the check valve to an existing s2 pro reef?
I wouldn't think so no - but I guess it depends where you put the checkvalve
