Ah nice one 😁 I saw the train had ran yesterday so I had a feeling I knew what this special upload would be. Must've been good catching that given the number of trains that have been down here the last few months
There probably still aren't any alarms here because it was comissioned in the 1970s or before (when level crossings either had bells or no alarms a tall), because it's so rarely used, and because it's in the middle of nowhere and not designed for pedestrian usage. It deactivated early most possibly because it timed out and automatically de-activated
I've wanted to see the nuclear train for years, anytime I'm in the area I will try and hang around Lydd for a bit in hopes of seeing it. I've even driven there for the one reason of trying to catch a glimpse, but sadly I've not been lucky enough to see it in the flesh yet.
It only runs on an 'as and when' basis and does one return journey a day when required (once a week at most usually). It may be worth looking here to see whether it's running or not if you're in the area (comes from / goes to Crewe): www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/gb-nr:LYDDTWN?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt
DANGEROUS!!
I like how it takes two locomotives to pull that single cart

Thanks a lot, mate! 😁 Glad I finally have a proper video from here, and have finally caught one of these trains.
Great video and crossing!
Thanks!
Why are there no alarms here and why does it turn off so early
