Where I live the driver has to go "ding ding! ding ding! ding ding!" until somebody moves. I think the G; link could do with a loud horn off of a normal Australian train, but of course our train horns are the eardrum destroyers fitted to North American locomotives, so they'll work just fine in the CBD as a backup if the bell isn't enough.
3:08 WART bus driver: Oh, you light rail trains think you're sooooo fancy, huh? With your catenary power and your tracks in the concrete, you think you own the road! Well, I'm not gonna put up with it anymore! Today, YOU will yield to ME!
Yeah debugging with a ton of mods is a pain. I have roughly 100 mods and enough assets to full 64 GB of RAM. Finding the broken mods which crashes your game took me like 4 days, multiple times. And still a problem remains on my Windows installation of Cities:Skylines. I have a memory leak in the Graphics Cards VRAM. So I play on Ubuntu Linux, have 5 fps more and no memory leaks.
this is so peaceful. i live in portland and i haven't been able to tax the max for a year because, y'know, pandemic, and this is making me really yearn to take a long trip on it
@@zellfaze sure! The mod let's you move the camera in relation to the vehicle. Maybe for a future one I can position it in the middle looking out and do some shots rolling into the stations
Something about the super aggressive horn when the Skylines AI turns into oncoming traffic gets me every time.
this is how French tram and bus drivers are. But with an even scarier bell-horn haha
the light rail in my city has this exact same horn so it was uncanny for me

5:05 Looking forward to the flying cars episode.
The transit of the future, today!
i thought the flying car was a well known washburn area cryptid
April fools episode 2022?
Avery Brooks: Where are the flying cars? I was promised flying cars! I don't see any flying cars!

I don't know what a Washburn accent sounds like exactly, and yet somehow I **still** heard this in a Washburn accent
exactly what i needed to scratch the itch, and so i won't need to mess with actually getting Cities running again. god bless.
Washburn is so good looking and convincingly designed 😭😭

This really helped me visualize what light rail would look like in a mid-sized, or even small North American city.
now i'm daydreaming about having light rail in my real life city. thanks a lot
I live in a small to midsized Midwestern city and you've really nailed the vibe of it
Amazing assets, and well built too!!! Loved it!
Your light rail looks so Portland style and it's interesting to me as a Utah LRT rider.
Thank you for showing this off, Warts and all
Your city looks so convincing as a typical amerikan city. Very calming to hop on this virtual train.
this looks great!
Please do more of these I thoroughly enjoyed this
very cool. I especially like your station design!
Brilliant visualization! Hello from Moscow. I have read about LRT of Calgary, it's looks like the same.
4:03 its not America until you have a giant F150 challenging an oncoming LRV!!!
Awesome right on time for my break at work 🙂
I had one of those Leo DiCaprio pointing at TV moments at 5:00 - I live across the street from Boccone here in midtown Toronto.
Slow TV the perfect break from essay writing.
It's hard to believe this is the same game as what I've been playing. This looks like a real city, unlike whatever you'd call mine.
WART? What an unfortunate name for a transit system.
What's the mile length of this system?
Nice build. Is this first person camera or another mod?
yes, it's First Person Camera mod attached to an invisible tram from the First Person Vehicles asset
@@bigmoodenergy Is therr any way to get the camera on the side of one of the middle cars? I would love some passenger shots. This is great regardless.

There was a branch at the end of the video what was it again
near the end of the ride on the Green Line there's a branch leading to the depot where Green & Gold line trains spawn and the Gold line turns around
@@bigmoodenergy oh yea ofc that's where the video started
What kind of rolling stock does WART use? Sharyo P865s, Seimens Duewags?
the LRT is all Siemens-Duewag U2's, I painted 1 car and 2 car variants so we have operational flexibility :)
amazing
Is the WartLink LRT vehicle on the Steam Workshop?
i don't kwno why but this is the apporpriate music for light rail
