    Keep in mind that any engine will eventually display "infinite" litres/100 km fuel consumption when idling. Likewise, in GB and USA where they measure fuel mileage, every idling gas or diesel powered vehicle gets zero miles per gallon. It points to the potential benefit of the "engine stop/start" system found on many newer cars (and first introduced by VW almost 40 years ago). Always important to look at average fuel economy, not instantaneous.
    Your city fuel consumption experiment allows one to see the potential for reduced emissions and fuel consumption in urban areas using synchronized traffic lights (synchronized to turn green, not red, like where I live) by keeping traffic flow at a steady, but moderate speed.
    Thanks for sharing this, and also providing a glimpse at the lovely city of Belgrade.

      Both good choices. If you don't need space, get the 250. The carbon buildup is the only negative.

      @@Jedi_Luke while it is true that carbon buildup exists, it’s not nearly as bad as it seems. Regular oil changes, proper fuel, and driving to redline once in a while will make carbon much much less of a problem.

    Po mom misljenju veoma niska potrosnja za toliki auto i motor. Ocekivao sam od 2.5 benzinca sa automatikom , da potrosi vise u gradsko voznji. Ja svoj 2.0 hdi nekad nateram preko 11 litara.

    Actually fuel consumption is pretty good for the Lexus. Driving in normal mode (with auto transmission), even the bmw 5series - e60 model 3.5L diesel engine gets 10-11l consumption driving in normal mode.

    • @3uzls135
      @3uzls135 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There are no such thing as E60 3.5 diesel. E60 was only available with M47 2.0D and M57 2.5d and 3.0d. You probably thinking about 535d but its still 3.0 diesel engine. And while it uses 11l/100km or more it does have much more power than this lexus

  • @jk_46
    @jk_46 ปีที่แล้ว

    How many kilometers do you get per tank of fuel combined cycle? My Is250 will say I get 8.5L/100km when that is so far from the real numbers. It usually gets 10L/100km so around 600km on a tank of 60L, however when I do long distance travelling I get 8.3L/100km while on cruise control at 100km/h.

    • @martinliehs2513

      Winter tires have a softer, stickier compound which helps in the winter. With warmer temperatures, the rubber gets even softer and stickier. That would make a big difference on highway fuel consumption.
      An important factor as well is tire wear. From that point of view, driving on winter tires in the warmer seasons is costly.

      Lexus ti je luksuzni brand toyote tako da odlicno parira nemcima. Druze, svaki auto je pouzdan ako se redovno odrzava. Znam ljude sa bmwovima, mercedesima sto im se nikad nisu pokvarili i presli stotine hiljada km uz redovan servis a isto tako znam one sto su plakali za lose honde i toyote. Tako da ta prica po meni pada u vodu. Uzmi sta ti se svidja i gledaj vlasnika kako ga je odrzavao. Ako nije ili nisi siguran, bezi od toga koji god da je brend. Jedino sto ti mogu reci za Lexusa je srecno kad budes trazio majstora. Generalno ima malo dobrih i postenih majstora za sve marke a kamoli jos za brand koji ovde uopste nije zastupljen. Dobro se raspitaj ko servisira KVALITETNO Lexusa i kolike su cene.
      Pozdrav i srecno :)

      @JohnMiller2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@takuache338 It's mostly agreed that FWD cars are safer than RWD in severe winter conditions. Me personally i drove a RWD for years as my first car and learnt gradually to handle winter conditions because of milder winters in southern Sweden. I like RWD because of the control you can have once you lose grip which you will do more often but FWD you don't lose grip as often generally but when you do it's just hope and pray that you will get grip and steering back. It's all preference but FWD or AWD i believe is the safest option for a beginner that aren't experienced in handling winter conditions.

    • @JohnMiller2
      @JohnMiller2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@takuache338 Also it should be said that FWD cars need to be heavy in the front do be able to grip up, i don't know if that's the case for your moms car. Since you live in Alaska and you aren't happy with the FWD experience i think you should look for something AWD like a Cross-Country Volvo or an AWD Toyota.
