@@AkilCarter2 can be a few things. He’s heartbroken which has turned him into a cold hearted individual, he’s openly vulnerable and wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s also grown a bit and been more accepting to love which might be what prompted the thawing out portion.

Ab's been through alot of pain and heartbreak which causes the frozen/brokeness. But he still is open with his emotions, hence the sleeve part. And the heart thawing out is kinda up for interpretation I suppose.
But to me, in relation to the rest of the album, the thawing is him growing and shedding that pain to learn to love again type thing.

Yes man! This has that classic Primo flavor and the sax hits so smooth. When he says Primo at the beginning, I had emotions like when I was a child listening to a collab I always wanted to hear for the first time 😂
Him & Mac were featured on Prhyme's album (collab with Preemo & Royce) but it's super sweet that he got his own track with the legend on the production.

This album is suuuuch a hip hop album. All of us who know, know what it is with Soul. But damn, I have had this heavily features in my rotation and playlists since it's release. That prayer from Granny real hit me differently because both of mine have left this Earth and doing the good work in the beyond, but I still feel them here with me, offering guidance, protection, love & the resolve to always make it through anything.
I can't say Thank You enough for this album and all the work that you do Soul. I know what it's like to be at certain ledges, with the feelings of frustration, loss & anger at this world for how it seems to want to dim any bright spots we might have in our lives. I'll always remember but I'll never let myself drown, fighting those tides, ever again. You are a great & inspiring artist but, bigger than that, you are a truly bright soul.

I've been listening to this album a good bit too since it dropped, cause at one point when I was younger like 10 years ago I would say Ab-Soul was the best outta the TDE camp. And there is still a little side of me that wants to say that still, but all 4 of Black Hippy are legendary GOAT rappers, there is room for plenty of GOATs in our lives. Dellammo Hoe! This track was a great way to close out an album full of so many amazing songs. Particularly noteworthy is the high production quality, lyricism (and of course, the soul)! 🔥
It's a classic in the making but like most great things has to marinate for a while to garner generational appreciation.
It would have been extra celestial if that last bar, in the last verse incorporated the theme he was rapping about prior (breaking his body) to wrap it off with a triple-entendre.
Something like "My guardian angel's name is Doe, shattered my body still Soul can never go broke".
