  • www.gobeyondthebrochure.com/5-... - If you’re at that magical point in your life when it’s time to decide which college to attend, then you’re probably hearing the same thing from a lot of people: “Choose carefully; this will be one of the Most Important Decisions of Your Life.”. They’re kind of right. The college you attend will be where you do a lot of your learning, growing, and more importantly, networking. You’re smart, so you know that already, but there’s probably still a lot you don’t know.

    UCF is a great school to attend specifically for its tuition cost and the education you will receive. If you're thinking of attending UCF make sure you live close to the main campus (Depending on your degree), just beware of traffic, keep an eye out for pedestrians, always arrive to class on time, and enjoy your academic experience.

    I'm a UCF Alumni, and here's two things I would add:
    1.) UCF does a number of different degrees that are more "experimental". Be wary of these degrees, as it may be difficult to find work in the field you wish to go into outside of Orlando for your first job. Go for a more classic degree, and if you're wondering if a degree is "classic" check other universities to see if they offer the same degree.
    2.) This is a comment on the library being a bad place to study. It's true that the main floor of the library (which is actually the second floor) is rather difficult to study in since it does garner the most noise. The best way to tackle this, if you need a quiet place to study on your own, is either to schedule one of the private study rooms for yourself/study group, or to move to either the 1st floor (the book/document archive floor), as it can be relatively quieter, or move to the 4th floor which is designated as the quiet study floor, and a volume control is enforced.

      in terms of underrated study spots, the Engineering building (the Atrium) is my favorite place to study at night time. During the day, it is way too crowded.

    I'm really looking into transferring to UCF from Seminole State College of Florida. If I graduate with my AA, am I guaranteed admission to UCF? Seminole State College of Florida is also partnered with UCF and UF.

    • @MrNickachu
      @MrNickachu 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends if they accept you and your credits. Some classes offered at different colleges/universities may be subjected to different amount of credits earned. For example, if a class you took in Georgia that was required for that specific university, it may be counted as null or invalid to the university you intend to transfer to.
      but if all goes well, then no. there's just a massive amount of paper work that needs to be gone through and you'll be paying out of pocket tuition for at least a year. The faster you can be a resident, the cheaper it will be for your tuition.
