I started playing in ritual league, was really rough, but i reached red maps and killed shaper and elder, nothing else tho. Didnt play much in ultimatum, only a bit and focused more on game theory like crafting and build theory. Expedition was good, got my first hh, but didnt enjoy playing anymore so i gave it to a friend and stopped. Scourge, at this point my 4th league, was where it all started. Didnt play much in the first 2 weeks, but after that quite a bit. Farmed a little currency and invested all of that in crafting since my theory knowledge was quite decent and i wanted to try it, its sooo much fun. Made quite a bit, bought a hh, levelled a char with a decent build for hh, farmed nem3. Switched to bossing build, did my first ever maven kill, 199 more mavens followed that. Did 100+ of every boss in that league. Build at the end was about 200-300ex i think. This league even better and faster. Got hh after 2 weeks. Did all stuff, had a lot of fun and now im gambling some house of mirrors :D. Great video. Good luck in the future, may the rng be with you!
I got my first ever headhunter this league as well, and this was the first league id ever gotten to end game as well, but i managed my headhunter by also doing my first meta crafting by making a 60ex omni lightning strike claw and selling it, feels a bit weird getting my first headhunter but im glad i managed to learn the game better this league.
Another good tip is: when you are starting a new build, dont imediately start saving currency for your headhunter. It might be better to spend a bit more currency on the items of the build to make it faster/more efficient instead of having a shit build and gather very little currency
Heh. A month into Ritual league I had farmed like 60 ancient orbs, I bought an ilvl 40-42 unique belt for 5c, went into a nemesis map, and hit it in 16. Just equipping it instead of my stygian meant I was able to go from methodically doing 60% deli/beyond to blasting 100% almost regardless of map mods (careful at start and after occasional oneshots tho).. I ended up investing like 150ex total (not counting the HH because it was basically free), all content except delve bosses, best character and most successful league I've ever had, with many normal leagues of currency spilling into standard at the end. I feel like the build being really smooth and enjoyable was a bigger part of that than the ancient orb luck tho ;)
@@quackologist As I recall there was a 10k sample size comparison during Ritual that said it did matter at the time, which was the specific reason for me buying one in that level range. Either way, a month into league it doesn't make a difference if it's a 1 alch or 5 chaos belt, right?
The first HH I got I ended up selling 2 days later because it did nothing for my build and was not part of the direction I wanted to go for my next build at the time.

I'm playing as a bladestorm berserker. Focusing on rage and blitz charges... I wanna farm for mageblood but I kinda didn't have the will to play as much these last 2 weeks. Maybe because HH feels quite underwhelming for this build (which is dissapointing) or maybe because I even took down The Feared and most endgame bosses (for the first time)
Burnout happens every league , the majority of players don't even make it past the first month of a new league , I started late so am still playing, making one last build , flicker strike slayer , then hanging it up till next league . the reason GGG has 2 1/2 -3 mth cycles

It never even crossed my mind because I'm playing Righteous Fire (and I don't think I'll get to Mageblood anytime soon) Just curious but how much time /played you had at the time of buying the HH?
i`m just like you. i dont have 5 or more hours a day. this league i played FP totems. which surprisingly was really fun. i invested 30 ex on it. and in 1.5 month i was done. idc too much with challenges. i got only 27.
Big content creators/streamers also play as party and have large web of connection among traders and other farmers. So. In order to achieve fat stacks: 1. Have absolute knowledge of the game 2. Have connections
i started flipping items in harvest. by that i made so much money it wasn't worth it to run maps for me. so i just got bored of the game because playing did not bring me any benefit lol. hopefully i can lose this mindet in the coming league
Ok I guess even this is over my head... When he said his starter build cost "less than 8 ex". I was like fuck, that's almost as much as I've made total playing in the past 14 leagues... Where the fuck do you start when you can't even make a "league starter"???
I got them when I was leveling, getting all the atlas passives, archnemesis mechanics, new boss alters etc. It cost 8ex for me to have enough gear to fight the end game bosses, not the things before. I was farming T10 T11 for a while, and was on T15 T16 for another while. As you learn more about the game, you'll just know when to do what. So just keep trying new things to expand your knowledge, and you'll find yourself richer every league.
Yeah, if it helps, my concept of what a league starter is, is a build which requires a couple of cheap mandatory items (or none) and can take down high tier maps with little to no investment. Then a "good" league starter should be able to scale from that point. Take my build for example (let it be known that i never reroll unless the character really bores me) made a bladestorm berserker, got a thief's torment, belt of the deceiver, kaom roots and 2 250 dps swords for a couple chaos and i was done (chaos recipe spam in act 9-10 if maps somehow trouble you). Just scale lots of rage, some attack speed, crit and the rest in life nodes (~200% inc). With this I could take down shaper's gang and the new eldritch guys. And then scale it up more. 1ex bear's girdle = lot's of dps. The saviour = even more dps and clear (can't believe how cheap it got this league). There i could do almost anything so I invested more. Influenced 6l crit chest 5ex, paradoxica 5ex, life gain on hit rings 1ex each, +1 storms helmet 1ex... And some other better rolled items for some chaos... Killed maven, uber elder and even the feared for the first time
@@elantonelle it actually depends on amount of time played. For me harvest always good, cause you can get juicy staff (like random fracture and augs) but also you can craft clusters and sell them for exalts (especially early on) all you need is to know meta builds this league and craft for them
Glass cannon zoomers who do maps in 3 minutes hate heist because doors are slow and they keep losing loot when they die. Tanky zDPS players love heist because they can make much more currency while ignoring the mobs compared to spending 20+ minutes on a map.
@@Castal-xo1yz I know that heist makes alot of money but if I play poe I want to go slay stuff.... mobs die me happy... when I grind poe I usually listen musik and zoom because that is what is fun for me. And yes I play glass cannons

Basically you just go to black scythe logbooks and after a weak or so you have your own mageblood

Man it's really isn't hard getting a HH. In my first league 3.14 I farmed a HH in a week and half because I actually played the game :)
