In many many parts of China, including Taiwan, you will come across the name Zhongshan (Chung Shan), as in Zhongshan Square here: this refers to Dr Sun Yat-sen, the revolutionary who overthrew the Qing Dynasty, leading to the formation of the Republic of China.

China, or for that matter the East Asian countries Korea and Japan, really know how to make their public places aesthetically pleasing and walkable . This is in sharp contrast to the South Asian countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal etc. where many places don't seem to get any structural improvements at all.
East Asia is influenced by China, South Asia is influenced by India, haha, Japan, Korea and China don't have many religious beliefs, you look at South Asia, The Middle East is a very religious place, and poverty makes sense
Dalian & Qingdao have chill summer and snowy winter, very close climate as Southern UK. Young expats like to work in south China because of job opportunities, while expat families enjoy living in these 2 cities to raise a family due to the relax lifestyle.

There is no provincial city like this in Russia this level of vast scale development needs China level population to make it pay. Russia has many nice cities but you have to lower expectations and the scale of your expectations. The Indonesian island of Java, which long ways is about 1,000KM and width ways about 100KM has more people than Russia despite the distance between Vladivostok to Sevastopol being nearly 10,000KM.
