Hmm. Well, if this minor volume difference is a big deal for you., then okay. You do you. I have used the HK for years until the DAC I was using it with stopped working on a much higher end system. Volume level was never an issue. I have a new DAC with built in Bluetooth that works fine, and l’m probably going to use the HK adapter with some powdered bookshelf speakers I’m shopping for to use in my home office. I’m sure I did an A-B comparison,I would get the same results. Thanks for the video. It was useful for reminding me which cables I need to dig out to connect it.
hello, i have audio system in my car. im using DSP, and want to add bluetooth on it. can you help me, what is the best Bluetooth receiver ? (LDAC or higher codec) i prefer the most natural bluetooth receiver, so it will not change the sound. thank you
I just ran across this. I'm using an Outlaw BTR-100 from about 2016 or so. Same form factor as the HK you have, but it's NLA from Outlaw due to BT 4.0 and other tech limitiations. Now I know what the difference is; I'm glad that I ran across your videos. I stopped using it a few years back but recently changed TV's, and the new one doesn't have line level inputs, so I had to use BT. The volume does need to be cranked up on my receiver, I've noticed. I'm also using your videos to figure out what other BT unit to get. Thanks for the comparison! Better than a talking head for sure :)
@@breakerbroke23 I'm now going down the BT version rabbit hole. My TV is BT 5.2 capable, but all I find is 5.1 and lots of 5.0. I'm looking for recommendations...should I worry about the difference, etc..I do listen to youtube music through the stereo (2 channel Outlaw RR250).
5.0 at a minimum, 5.1 is great not sure about 5.2 yet. This might work for you. It is flexible lots of ways to hook up, TV stereo and transmits all very well. It is the FiiO BTA30PRO
Hi, my name is Ryan Guilbeau in Chuckey, TN. I’d like to ask a question concerning woofer hook ups. The equipment I have is a Yamaha RN303 stereo receiver. I have 4 speakers taking up the A/B channels on the back. If the B speakers are taken up… how would I hook up the woofer or can at all? Thank you for your help.
You can add the subwoofer to either A or B channels, the input of the sub will not change the impedance ( from 4 ohm to 2 ohms or the like). I used B channel because I run 2 spks from A channel and so by using B for my sub I can turn the sub ON/OFF with the B channel On/Off
Can I run sub woofer wires out of B channel even though B channel already has a pair of speakers,in other words, can I run both speakers and subwoofer out of B channel?
Louder is not better:) We did use the "brighter is better" when I sold audio gear. Great way to send a customer home that took days to make up his mind. In this case louder is better because we are talking pre amp voltage (RCA) we want the pre amp signal to be as close to the same as other components in the system, CD player, tape deck etc... that is usually 2.0v rms. (I favor 4+v rms) Cheers
That vintage Technics receiver looks like it's in awesome condition.
