    Lin Dan's Olympic Gold makes him more famous than Federer/Nadal/Djokovic because he has won two.
    Yet they are more popular around the world than him because he is Chinese and a badminton player.
    The Olympic Gold is the best way to prove how good he is.

    Lin Dan's achievements - Divine
    Even if there's a new player who wins a World, Olympic Gold, All England and etc, he needs to ask himself before claiming to be the best player of all time.
    Has he won 5 All England out of 8 Finals?
    Has he won 4 World titles?
    Has he won TWO OLYMPIC Gold Medals?
    If you havent achieved all of the above, you are not the Greatest of All Time. Lin Dan will keep that position forever. That's why he is God.

    Peter Gade said that Lin Dan was by far the best he ever seen. I agree thanks for the comment ! :)

    Well, if I have enough time.. maybe. But Lin Dan is my fav. and he's really higher than the other players to me. So if I make other videos they will probably be on Lin Dan too. But I will consider that request and maybe do one of about 5 minutes if you're happy with that. I don't know when but I will try to continue sharing badminton videos. Thanks for asking me, I take it as a compliment, cause I think you're asking it to me because you like the videos I shared! Thanks a lot ! ;)

    Don R. I don't know what tournaments Dave Freeman have played in but 14 years undefeated is very impressive. I have chatted with Freeman's family and they are very appreciative of the badminton community acknowledgement of Dave's accomplishment.

    definitely, competitive badminton requires alot of fitness and power, despite others calling it a soft sport. Or not even a sport. They obviously haven't played or only rallied

    Don R. Regarding to yang yang vs lin dan, we can never know for sure but 1 thing I know for sure, Lin dan is faster on court than yang yang I was in video. I don't know about Hou Jia Chiang either but he does look lanky and wouldn't match LD physique in term of power and speed.

    In Tennis the gold medal has just became significant since maybe 2 games (Peking and London). So tennisplayers value grandslam wins much more than anything else. This is also reflected in their point system. Grandslam is worth 2000 points and olympic gold only 1500. I think the famousness is nothing to do with nationality but rather than the badminton is so much smaller sport around globe. The olympic comitee is even thinking of dropping it from the games. Its on the list of possible dropouts.

    what the tittle of song?

  • @larrydonguy
    @larrydonguy 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dave Freeman (undefeated for the last 14 years that he played) was the greatest "of all time" during his day. Later Rudy Hartono (winner of seven consecutive All-England titles when there were still no World or Olympic titles to compete for) was the "greatest of all time;" unless, perhaps, Tang Xian Hu or Hou Jia Chiang who never got the chance to compete against him were the "greatest of all time." Yang Yang was "the greatest of all time" in his day. There will always be another "greatest."
