WOW!! what a buy!! I started farming with a 4010 in the Mid 70's. I put hay up in big hay stacks with one with that same loader. It's a F-10 farmhand loader. Great outfit. Fed cattle and did everything that a loader was needed for. It will raise about 14 ft. high.

Thank you! Good to know. I removed the loader to fix the tire and PTO. Haven't decided what to do with it yet.

I bought my 4010 30 years ago. We put a new injector pump on it last years and it dynoed 96 HP. They are cheap to get parts for, and parts are out there. Being a diesel is also a plus. I pull a 5-16 oh 710 plow with mine in 4th gear. At$400 it will never owe you anything

Can't go wrong for 400 bucks. Especially being that it runs and sounds good. Even if it needs some work

Get a three point and investigate the PTO system when it's warmer outside this spring. Run it for a while to find and fix the other bugs. Then find a young kid who is getting into farming and pass along a good deal. We are all caretakers of these antique tractors that once fed the nation and will again keep citizens out of bread lines. I hear so many big farmers are in trouble with sensors/def breakdowns and no parts supplies those high dollar/payments tractors are sitting for months and the banks will get them. An old reliable antique tractor can keep a young family farming and feeding everyone around them.

Nice find!! I would have moved it quick, get the stem up. Calcium is expensive anymore!
We've got a '62 4010 Wheatland with an F11. All it does is load and feed big bales.
    Had a '63 4010 rowcrop in the '70s.
Im sure the 3 point was removed for the loader and so you could get on it from the back..

Farmhand loaders were great. Only thing that they’re missing is down pressure but other than that they’re great.
Had one on a Cockshutt 40 for years.
We stacked loose hay with it can’t beat them for that.

Heard good things, I had to take it off to fix a tire. Not sure I’ll put it back on.

Had one they are good on fuel and that one starts good for a 4010 never had PTO problems just once when changing from 540 to 1000 make sure you get proper bolts that are made for that or put good grade bolts in and make sure you tighten to spec I did it by hand for long time and one time I had the one bolt break but the only time did lots of PTO work with it all winter grind feed 5 loads a week had the tractor for years put 15000 hours on it traded it wish I still had it handy tractor and big enough for anything even pulled a 96 John deer comine for years so I don't no that I can say had PTO problems did some had PTO stuff with it was always maintained good and treated me 100 percent so have nothing bad to say about it

At $400 I would keep it,easy to work on,has plenty of power, the farm I worked on had a 4010,3010,4020 I loved the 4020 wish I could have bought it before I left the farm the owner never used it. Only thing it really needs was tires even with almost bald rear tires it still pulled great on dry ground not so much hen it was mud

Sounds tight! I’ve got 4010D ! Enjoyed watching! I’d find 3 pt hitch stuff and run it for awhile , but that’s your decision.
If I live near by I’d want you to flip to me lol .
