Ok here’s my hot take. I don’t dislike the star path but I also see the greed in gameloft this star path. They know what the audience wanted. Spooky stuff. If you look at the leaks you see it’s a good majority fall/spooky/villain related. The special bundle is witchy. So though there are some items worth it in the star path I can also be disappointed in gameloft showing greed again. Also there’s clipping issues with some of the new items and the hair texture is sooo bad up close so it feels so thrown together to have something
They had the Timon&Pumbaa update too.. So I'm happy with it.. There are still some halloween stuff.. My only gripe, is they could utilize those old star paths for newer players and players who have missed out.... This is content, we all paid for the same game, so give people access to that old content, not just as overpriced premium shop items.
So my latest dreamsnap had a lot of this month’s starpath, and i’ll say the items like the flames and water fountain are beautiful! that being said, the overall starpath is a bit of a bummer and very clearly a product placement, you can tell they made the bags and then centered a whole starpath theme to justify it. I’m not too big on Halloween but i’ll be so upset if they do the same thing around Christmas time 😭
Totally agree. My first impression was that it all felt cheap and hollow, like the devs sold out and turned the game into a targeted advertisement for that backpack company. It was a shameful move. If it happens again, I'm out for good.
For me i like that Timon and Pumbaa were added but i feel like this should have been released during the summer and the last update coming towards the end of the year should have been for october where they could have easily announced next years stuff
I feel like the biggest argument I see a lot of people who liked this starpath use is they liked the items because they'd be great in dreamsnaps. That's a very valid and fair take, but there are still a lot of players who like playing just the game itself for the vibes and the disney feel but they don't do dreamsnaps. There are a surprising amount of people I've seen who don't like or do dreamsnaps. From that perspective, I can see why they would be disappointed in this Starpath.
True. Not everyone is into dream snaps just like everyone isn't into making clothing etc. BUT that said there are things to decorate with in this star path that would look amazing around someones valley. Halloween is one day (or if you push it, one week or even a few weeks) The lighting, water, path etc you can use year round. I could understand if it's this persons first Halloween in game but they said they've done the other 2 already. They can still decorate as there is a ton of stuff.
I totaly agree with you. I did do the whole starpath and yes some items i like for dreamsnaps but the starpath overall doesnt fit the game and i can understand some people are dissapointed
I agree with a lot of your points. They defo look like they’re behind schedule, they do decent regularly updates and I personally like the effect items in the starpath (even if the rest isn’t for me). My only issue, particularly with this update, is the blatant push of premium shop. I want gameplay, I’d like to earn/craft items as cool as the premium items not just log in once a week to buy them.
Personally I enjoy any new content. There are definitely characters and starpaths I am more excited for and some that I am less excited for but it's still nice to have new content to explore
I agree. I was super late to the game (started in June this year) and I don’t know any different. I find the paths fun. Gives me incentive to play. I’m sure Disney is holding out for the holidays. It’ll be worth it !
I actually think they are getting directives from Disney. Disney Descendants was recently released and I feel this was based on that. I think this would have been better with n September, it feels like “back to school”.
The only thing that’s bothering me from this update is that the characters have a bug that they move slow when you hang out with them. The trick I use to keep following me is to do something that’s related to their role like picking some fruit or vegetables or mining then the character comes running to me and picking the item I’ve collected.
I'm glad you mentioned that the game continuosly gets updates because that's why I'm never really dissapointed even if I'm not enthusiastic about the theme. It only bothered me this time because the majority of us were expecting Halloween items. And I know not everyone celebrates Halloween, but they could make it broad. It can be spooky, fall, costumes (where they incorporate profession costumes as well so that it's not "Halloween" only). Even this rock star starpath could have incorporated Halloween by giving face makeup options, more costumey outfits, a rockstar pumpkin, etc. Just because we want a Halloween starpath doesn't mean it needs to completely be Halloween. We just want to decorate for the season. I hope it gets better for Christmas cause I love decorating for Christmas!
I personally enjoyed the star path, liked so many of the items. I understand people wanted Halloween items though to decorate their valley during the season. The game will never please everyone with it's different updates, as we all have different wants and expectations. One thing is, they bring a lot of new content regularly and listen to players and try to sort priorities such as major game crashes. So for that I truly thank the team for what they do.
I disagree, the star path is Disney based granted i am a lot older than most of the player base, but Disney has done so many music based shows and movies. It just isn't princess based. While i was initially disappointed that it wasn't fall/Halloween themed which I would have preferred it still has a lot of amazing items in it.
Here's my opinion, and this is coming from someone theming their valley around Halloween, I am fine with the starpath not being Halloween, I love most of the items added in the starpath, they are great, I have made some really cool areas with them! I am perfectly happy with them adding the past star path items in the premium shop, I can still get them since I wasn't playing at the time they added them via starpath, I loved this update and starpath. Can't wait for the next one! I also love the improvements and features they have added in this update. All in all, I really enjoy what they have done with this update even if its smaller. I think some people just like to complain about things sometimes. Its okay to be sad about the starpath being not halloween if you were expecting it to, but don't hate on the entire update because of it.
First of all I hope you're feeling better. If not then skip tomorrow and take care of yourself! We can wait! I liked this star path. There have been some in the past (and I'm sure the future) that were meh to me. I wouldn't go to social media and complain about it. Also if that person has done the last 2 Halloween themed ones then they have a lot of things to decorate with. Not quite sure what Gameloft would have added to the current Halloween themed items. More pumpkins? Maybe a costume? Anyway they aren't going to please everyone all the time (as you said) so people need to just roll with it and hope the next one is more your thing.
Finally someone logical in the comments. I am honestly astonished at the amount of grown adults complaining about this, on every platform. This kind of stuff is partly why, I honestly believe, Nintendo abandoned ACNH. They got tired of dealing with the constant complaining and badgering. I mean if I’m tore did all that, I can only imagine how they feel.
I have the super unpopular opinion of loving this star path! I’m a musician and I love that I can create an area for that in my Valley. I also don’t love spooky season so was relieved that this one wasn’t Halloween themed for months. That being said - I think it would be interesting if next year gameloft did an autumn themed star path. With some cottage core and some Halloween items to give a mix for people who don’t like it or don’t celebrate. And the next update - I don’t like nightmare before Christmas. So that update will likely be for other people and that’s ok.
While it’s not in my top couple favorite star paths, we were definitely lacking music items. On top of that, there are some really exciting things that are bright and colorful. The dance floor alone makes it worth it for me. I also don’t understand those who aren’t doing the star path because it’s not Halloween. There will likely come a point in the future where those items will be very desirable for a Dreamsnap theme and they’ll wish they had them. When they come back around in the premium shop, they’re going to be a lot more expensive than in the star path. It’s really always worth it to do the star path for me. I actually do think this star path is Halloween adjacent. I get Descendants vibes and villains, as well as a really cool and fun Halloween concert and festival vibe. I’m currently using other Halloween decor in the area with my stage in the Forgotten Lands and I honestly think it works. I can imagine teens having a fun Halloween dance party with this stuff. 🤷🏻♀️
None of it felt very Disney to me. It felt like the devs used the game to try and prop up that backpack company, and used the dreamsnap this week to drive in the advertising stake. The star path rock n roll theme has no link to Halyx, the rock n roller coaster, or anything else from the parks or films. Then, we get two minor characters from a late 80s film, but still no Snow, no Cinderella, and no Aurora. It's all very disappointing, especially compared to earlier updates and esoecially in relation to Disney history and his IPs.
@@MrDreamlight Disney is a lot of very different things. Didn’t they recently put out a rock album? A lot of their star paths seem to coincide with current releases. Besides that, not everything in the game has to be Disney. It’s nice to get a variety of items, so that everyone can enjoy the game. I’d personally rather have something fun like this than a bunch more basic and generic “spooky” themed Halloween decor.

A lot of us are here because we grew up on Disney and enjoy interacting with those characters, that environment, and Walter Disney's vision for family-oriented entertainment. Minus that, it's just another cozy game. The whole point of the game is Disney, the world Walt created for us to enjoy.
@@MrDreamlight Also, the Lion King came out in 1994 and a lot of us players grew up with movies from this time. They also said this was going to be a smaller update in advance. We will get all the popular Disney Princesses, but they will be spaced out to prolong the life of the game and keep people coming back.
@@MrDreamlight Of course we all want Disney inspired items in the game and our favorite movies to be represented, but they also want to try to give us a wide range of stuff so that everyone will have things that they enjoy. There are Disney items in the star path, such as villain themed items and the Shank outfit, as well as the backpacks. I think the cool lighting and water features will go so well in Dreamsnaps and look so good with other items they have had in the past. While this game is a collaboration with Disney and has to pay them for the use of their characters and park related items, it’s ultimately a Gameloft game and not every single item in game is going to be Disney related. At the end of the day we’re all going to disagree about things and have our own opinions. And we won’t all like everything that they put out, but there are so many things that I think we’ll all have to look forward to.
For me I didn’t get excited by the star path this time, so I didn’t buy it. Simple as that. There’ll be another update coming soon, nothing to moan about. The game is still incredible and I think just because an update is not to someone’s taste shouldn’t take away from all the other things that are great
Instead of putting 'The Forgotten' on the drum set, they should have made it say 'Descendants' and I think that alone would have tied everything together more nicely.
It can't be a good thing when you look at 60 items in the star path and say "oh those 5 items will be good for dreamsnaps" I personally bought the star path on 4 accounts for something to pass the time , I didn't find it super hard, there was a couple that took a while, but I just did some other tasks and went back to the other one that was troublesome every now and then until it was done.
I wish people would just understand you wont always get what you want / like. I don't actually care about any of the princess IPs. My fav Disney movies are Hercules, Robin Hood, Aladdin, Basil, Arisocats. We have very little content from any of them but it's fine. We might get some, we might not. just try and enjoy what you have.
What about Hanna Montana? This star path reminds me of her and fits her style for me. Sure it's not Halloween, but my valley is getting decorated just fine with what I already have. I have only been playing about 1 1/2 years and this is my second Halloween. I am having a blast! 😁
I actually like this star path. There is more clothing that i love and the hairstyles. I may complete this one. I get what people are saying but its not that deep. We will get more star paths. I didnt care for the tiana path. The clothes fit horribly.
The star path was fine for me. I like the boots, the skirt, the flames and water decor thing. I didn't think it was bad. Won't use the stage but someone else will.
I take it a lot of people have forgotten about the recent surveys in regard to if we want Disney INSPIRED or Disney replicas in the game. This is a Disney inspired Starpath which is literally in the patch notes.
It doesn't feel Disney inspired. It feels generic. Where are the Halyx costumes? The Rock n Roller Coaster? The Tomorrowland stage? The Parent Trap song added to the soundtrack? Rock and Roll Mom, from the Magical World of Disney? Rock n Roll Brunch at the beach club? WDWs All Star Resort? I mean, there is a rich history that nelds Disney, the parks, and rock music, and none of it was referenced. It feels very surface-y, with no depth of thought or consideration of actual events, places, ir oeople.
I love the start path and also it reminds me of the descendants movie wish is they are good movie's maybe the start path was related from the movie also we don't know if the left the best stuff for last
Hobestly, Im masc my character is a man... and we dont get enough clothing items like thats just a fact most of the clothes are fem so it was bice to have a star path where i can make an outfit out of almost everything . Even if i do wish it was Halloween.

There’s only 1 maybe 2 things I haven’t liked this update 1 being the new recommended tab in the premium shop so far 2/4 items both weeks have been things i own and i don’t own a of the items other than star path ones and depending on what happens with future star paths the fact they went from having 2 skins in it to 1 to none now so hopefully they bring them back to being in them soon
The playerbase: this game is broken and Gameloft needs to fix their shit or we will all quit! Gameloft: ok fine we will spend an entire update fixing bugs and optimizing the game... just keep in mind that means less new content for that one update. The playerbase: this update is trash, there is almost no new content and it isn't themed to my liking... you should be forced to waste one of the 6 yearly updates every year making more generic Halloween items like we already did the last couple years! Playstation stuttering aside the game is more stable and they fixed loads of things... Playstation fans could use some pain for once and stuttering is nothing, many of us xbox players have been crashing every few minutes we spent outside in the valley ever since the expansion part 2 dropped and at least for me that is finally fixed... new crashes in the event ui and exiting furniture mode for me though, but I can actually play the game reasonably again... Also I never want to see Halloween stuff ever again, this community has made me despise the holiday with their nonsense... why limit what content Gameloft is allowed to make to seasonally themed stuff? As long as it is disney stuff it should be fine regardless of the irl season, or at least a content theme not yet well explored like the current punk/rock themed starpath... not my favorite theme either but I still liked several of the items, I think this update was great
I like Disney but i dont think every item in the game needs to be disney and since i do dream snaps they will be helpful there also but that aside i liked most of the items in the star path. you could also argue that some items are inspired from the Disney Descendants in my opinion at least like one of the outfits possibly.
Honestly I loved this star path cuz of the loungfly collab and the rock and roll stuff I personally loved, iv never grinded the star paths as much as I have on this one but you know everyone has there opinion, nice video serroh ❤
I feel like it does feel Disney coded as Disney recently put out a new pop-punk album called A World New World with classic Disney songs covers from bands like New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Mayday Parade, etc. I personally have enjoyed all the new items we have gotten. I get the frustration as I am a Halloween girly, but have liked these items more as I have unlocked them. At the end of the day, everyone isn't going to be happy with everything that comes to the game. At least we are getting continued updates and I am sure that you will like something else that comes down the line.

So this may very well be the most split update we have seen and why I made this video to show everyone, yes this update might not be everyones favorite but it still has great things and next update is soon.
I really wanted the halloween starpath items and yes i know not everyone celebrates it but ithink even if ya dont celebrate you accept halloween in in october and kinda expect to have some of it thrown in there someplace, really kinda dont care if i finish it or not and im not into music so most items i probably wont even use
I like the Starpath. I am getting tired of the sloppy game mechanics. Game shutdowns, hard to find items, screwed up item catalog, the all important camera has clunky controls, the lights not working on items and houses. So many quest bugs. And the clunky controls to make your own dresses etc. There’s some poor coding and poor customer support. And we paid for this game. Don’t tell me there are good excuses or that I need to not hurt someone’s feelings for saying what is. The game’s not that complicated and should have better features. These things are wearing down my enthusiasm for sure.
i feel that we shouldn't have high expectations for Gameloft. ever since the Vanellope update with giving 1 character instead of 2 characters, i try to keep low expectation. but to be honest, ppl would worried there wasn't going to be any star path this update, but now that it has a star path, ppl complain...
Serroh Sir , That StarPath to me is just really bland and dull , but I just stayed more focused on the story of the game itself. And I just focused myself more on the Dreamlight and on my Starcoins. Instead of being more into that StarPath. But you did a great job on letting us to know about that.
Ok but, Disney puts on a huge halloween event every year with their theme parks... so while yes, not everyone celebrates it....disney does 🤷♀️ Absolutely hate this star path. I didn't buy the star path this time. And haven't even continued the tasks.
I like the star path for the most part. The timing is odd, but whatever lol. I do wish they’d change the auto save to every two or three minutes instead of every minute. I end up missing a lot of the crop explosions due to the slight stuttering (I’m on switch). Also, my game has frozen at least twice trying to talk to Pumbaa and I had to close and re-open the game. And the game is freezing some again after voting a few times for dreamsnaps. After the hotfix after the last update, that wasn’t an issue, but now it is again. It’s not a huge deal, but it is a bit bothersome. The thing I disliked most about this update is the night mite chase. I hate having to chase after stuff in this game in general, but it was made worse this time because Pumbaa was following us nearly the whole time. He got in the way when I’d press A to catch a bug, I’d end up triggering a conversation with him instead. This made the quest take even longer lol. I thought chasing Oswald’s clocks was bad, but those bugs were way worse. My fingers were cramping so much doing it. It’s ironic to me that gameloft changed the glide button to help players with arthritis, but then make us chase down all those stupid mites which is also hard on arthritis. If they are going to make us chase bugs so often, I wish they’d just give us a bug net royal tool that we can use by pressing Y (or whatever on other devices) instead of A, that way it won’t trigger talking to characters while trying to chase bugs. But, other than the aforementioned stuff, the update has been great. I do wish they’d give us an option to turn off the remy delivery requests. I don’t really need anymore wrought iron right now. The only thing I made multiples of was the fence anyway lol. Remy keeps following me going “can I talk to you?” Lol.
The biggest problem is that they never seem to be listening to what we want. Everyone said they wanted a recipe search bar more than anything, it never came. People said they wanted to be able to access Dreamsnaps they'd taken within the game. It's still not here. People said they wanted the restaurant orders to appear under the star the way tracked items are. Not here. They could have saved so much face about the Halloween drama by just letting everyone get one free Halloween item and assigning redemption codes to everything. People who badly wanted some Halloween related item from a past Starpath would at least have had something to satisfy them. Gameloft doesn't listen, or worse, they listen but intentionally don't give us what we want most, while always looking for new ways to bleed us dry.
Sorry but all the updates. The star path. The shop.. the free updates were all a miss. They really missed out of the opportunity to actually make money. I tend to spend money on games for the holiday stuff. No holiday stuff. It made my choice very very easy. They messed up by not releasing nightmare before Christmas characters.
Gameloft has no control over the limitations of the Switch. The console is old and the processor is out of date. They can only do so much for an outdated console. Nintendo is the one that needs to step up their game to compete with the platforms that can handle the game better.
I think this person needs to grow up and touch some grass. I didn’t like one item in the new star path but as an adult I can recognise that not everything will appeal to me and that there may be (or already have had been) star paths that I liked and others didn’t…. At least they’re doing something new and different and I hope they continue. It’s just the same complaint people have been making for weeks, they want Halloween things… there are already Halloween things and if there’s only 4/5 updates a year I don’t want one of those taken up by something that’s already happened (and then another one on Christmas). You can always just not play the game, nobody cares.
Mmm, I don’t think it’s entirely accurate to say they’ve never delayed. They’ve been minor delays for sure. feel like the monsters Inc update was delayed and so was the Mulan. They don’t give specific dates, but the monster star path was very valentines coded for being released weeks after and Mulan was supposed to be late spring she came out in summer. Minor seeking delays so no biggie, but for accuracies sake it’s just no major delays in updates which is impressive. This rock and roll Star path is meh for me, but it is what it is. I think one thing we all learn from this one (if you don’t like it) is we should consider looking at the Star path rewards and choosing if we really want it before buying it. That’s at least what I’m gonna do.
I voted meh. I like some of the items but a lot just feels tossed together. I would have rather had a full 6 pages as the time frame wasn't actually shorter than other StarPaths. Even if it was more motifs and such. I am definitely one of the people that wanted & anticipated more spooky stuff. So I was disappointed. I am also sad for the newer players who have to pay for the items... I agree that if this StarPath had been released at a different time, it wouldn't have gotten so many dislikes. I disagree that this doesn't have a Disney vibe to it. The clothing in particular screams Descendants which is a Disney franchise. The movies are live action though there was a short lived animated series as well. Descendants 4 was released recently. However, I think it didn't do as well as the original trilogy. It was poorly done. Also not having the original creators & cast involved hurt it a lot. (One of the leads passed away very young so the original cast felt strongly that the triology should be the end.) The colors & vibe of the Punk Princess items is very similar to the colors for the new release. The back of the jacket is very similar to Mal's artwork in the original Descendants movies.

We have Tommy Egan canceling Christmas and GameLoft canceling Halloween, lmao we love it! But this is a random StarPath that they definitely came up with to give us some content. It’s may not be the best but it’s at least something!
It is a live service game, so yeah there should be updates like most online games have regular updates and new content. Yeah it is nice, some hit some miss. But please don't praise them to update their live service game (which did not become free in the end).
The star path is very poor im not at all bothered it wasn't halloween themed there is other games but this star path just isn't worth value of the time it takes to grind the items which aren't even that good for dreamsnaps as they only last about 30 seconds at most i totally agree about why it was a smaller update and yeah we aren't all going to like every star path i hope the next star path isn't Christmas themed not everyone celebrates Christmas and we have enough Christmas items we don't need more

As i stated we are not all going to like every star path and there are plenty of other games maybe don't read the comments if you are going to have a complete mental break down over someone sharing their thoughts on the star path that the youtuber asked people to share
May as well cancel a Christmas starpath as well bc some of us don’t celebrate it and do celebrate Halloween. Totally unfair and they’ve made it all about a money wall and poor mechanics . And by mechanics I mean glitches , and controls . They’re supposed to be in with Disney but don’t give us what Disney is capable of like cut scenes could be off the chain instead of a black screen clip and a whole lot more . They need to rethink it all ; the Starpath too .
I am with you on the game development complaints. Cut screens on quests, repetitive dialogue from a soundboard, no real interactions with toons... I've had more meaningful conversations with GTA and Skyrim NPCs. Disney is supposed to be an animation company... Lol
This is my least favorite of all the Star Paths I've seen and played so far. It's very, very low on my totem pole. The theme is way off for me. Even Disney doesn't have a punk rock theme. Where they do go all out for Halloween and the other seasonal holidays. I did complete the Star Path, but only because there was nothing else to do in the game. It was that or nothing. Was I in a rush? No. But it was so small I completed it quickly. This time I feel that GameLoft dropped the ball with this Star Path. Again, this is just my opinion.
Still no Snow, no Aurora, and no Cinderella. Instrad of going with a classic or modern Disney idea, they chose a rock & roll theme... but had no tie-in or mention of Halyx, of the Rock n Roller Cosster, or anything to make it related to the films or parks. It's 'like the devs have no sense of park history, or of Walter Elias Disney. The game still feels really, really incomplete. If it wasn't for the Mickey & Friends content, I would have quit already. Even with those characters the game is growing stale because they just repeat the same soundboard comments, over and over and over again.
I thought the starpath was soooo boring , royal duties followed by royal duties etc etc , also I play on switch and every update makes the game almost unplayable, why do pc users get the best deal ? We didn’t pay a penny less for the switch version , I could have bought it for pc but I like playing on my tv screen , sort it out devs or I will be quitting along with every other switch user methinks .
There is a way you can play from your PC onto your TV and not have to use your Switch but that depends on your tech abilities, plus playing on PC is way more expensive than a Switch, meaning less problems. You cannot open the Switch and funk around like you can on a PC 👍
Gameloft has no control over the limitations of the Switch. It's an outdated console with an outdated processor. Nintendo is the one that needs to step up their game to stay in competition with the other platforms! Plus I also play on Switch and have very little issues with the game. The decorating limit issue is my problem which is why I also have a PS5 account.

So my latest dreamsnap had a lot of this month’s starpath, and i’ll say the items like the flames and water fountain are beautiful! that being said, the overall starpath is a bit of a bummer and very clearly a product placement, you can tell they made the bags and then centered a whole starpath theme to justify it. I’m not too big on Halloween but i’ll be so upset if they do the same thing around Christmas time 😭
Totally agree. My first impression was that it all felt cheap and hollow, like the devs sold out and turned the game into a targeted advertisement for that backpack company. It was a shameful move. If it happens again, I'm out for good.
For me i like that Timon and Pumbaa were added but i feel like this should have been released during the summer and the last update coming towards the end of the year should have been for october where they could have easily announced next years stuff
I feel like the biggest argument I see a lot of people who liked this starpath use is they liked the items because they'd be great in dreamsnaps. That's a very valid and fair take, but there are still a lot of players who like playing just the game itself for the vibes and the disney feel but they don't do dreamsnaps. There are a surprising amount of people I've seen who don't like or do dreamsnaps. From that perspective, I can see why they would be disappointed in this Starpath.
True. Not everyone is into dream snaps just like everyone isn't into making clothing etc. BUT that said there are things to decorate with in this star path that would look amazing around someones valley. Halloween is one day (or if you push it, one week or even a few weeks) The lighting, water, path etc you can use year round. I could understand if it's this persons first Halloween in game but they said they've done the other 2 already. They can still decorate as there is a ton of stuff.

I totaly agree with you. I did do the whole starpath and yes some items i like for dreamsnaps but the starpath overall doesnt fit the game and i can understand some people are dissapointed
That is true but the way I would think people play the game is also decorating their valley. This would provide nice items to decorate the valley.
I agree with a lot of your points. They defo look like they’re behind schedule, they do decent regularly updates and I personally like the effect items in the starpath (even if the rest isn’t for me).
My only issue, particularly with this update, is the blatant push of premium shop. I want gameplay, I’d like to earn/craft items as cool as the premium items not just log in once a week to buy them.
Personally I enjoy any new content. There are definitely characters and starpaths I am more excited for and some that I am less excited for but it's still nice to have new content to explore

I agree. I was super late to the game (started in June this year) and I don’t know any different. I find the paths fun. Gives me incentive to play. I’m sure Disney is holding out for the holidays. It’ll be worth it !

I actually think they are getting directives from Disney. Disney Descendants was recently released and I feel this was based on that. I think this would have been better with n September, it feels like “back to school”.
The only thing that’s bothering me from this update is that the characters have a bug that they move slow when you hang out with them.
The trick I use to keep following me is to do something that’s related to their role like picking some fruit or vegetables or mining then the character comes running to me and picking the item I’ve collected.
I'm glad you mentioned that the game continuosly gets updates because that's why I'm never really dissapointed even if I'm not enthusiastic about the theme. It only bothered me this time because the majority of us were expecting Halloween items. And I know not everyone celebrates Halloween, but they could make it broad. It can be spooky, fall, costumes (where they incorporate profession costumes as well so that it's not "Halloween" only). Even this rock star starpath could have incorporated Halloween by giving face makeup options, more costumey outfits, a rockstar pumpkin, etc. Just because we want a Halloween starpath doesn't mean it needs to completely be Halloween. We just want to decorate for the season. I hope it gets better for Christmas cause I love decorating for Christmas!

I understand people wanted Halloween items though to decorate their valley during the season.
The game will never please everyone with it's different updates, as we all have different wants and expectations.
One thing is, they bring a lot of new content regularly and listen to players and try to sort priorities such as major game crashes. So for that I truly thank the team for what they do.
I disagree, the star path is Disney based granted i am a lot older than most of the player base, but Disney has done so many music based shows and movies. It just isn't princess based. While i was initially disappointed that it wasn't fall/Halloween themed which I would have preferred it still has a lot of amazing items in it.
Here's my opinion, and this is coming from someone theming their valley around Halloween, I am fine with the starpath not being Halloween, I love most of the items added in the starpath, they are great, I have made some really cool areas with them! I am perfectly happy with them adding the past star path items in the premium shop, I can still get them since I wasn't playing at the time they added them via starpath, I loved this update and starpath. Can't wait for the next one! I also love the improvements and features they have added in this update. All in all, I really enjoy what they have done with this update even if its smaller. I think some people just like to complain about things sometimes. Its okay to be sad about the starpath being not halloween if you were expecting it to, but don't hate on the entire update because of it.

I liked this star path. There have been some in the past (and I'm sure the future) that were meh to me. I wouldn't go to social media and complain about it.
Also if that person has done the last 2 Halloween themed ones then they have a lot of things to decorate with. Not quite sure what Gameloft would have added to the current Halloween themed items. More pumpkins? Maybe a costume?
Anyway they aren't going to please everyone all the time (as you said) so people need to just roll with it and hope the next one is more your thing.
Finally someone logical in the comments. I am honestly astonished at the amount of grown adults complaining about this, on every platform. This kind of stuff is partly why, I honestly believe, Nintendo abandoned ACNH. They got tired of dealing with the constant complaining and badgering. I mean if I’m tore did all that, I can only imagine how they feel.
I have the super unpopular opinion of loving this star path! I’m a musician and I love that I can create an area for that in my Valley. I also don’t love spooky season so was relieved that this one wasn’t Halloween themed for months.
That being said - I think it would be interesting if next year gameloft did an autumn themed star path. With some cottage core and some Halloween items to give a mix for people who don’t like it or don’t celebrate.
And the next update - I don’t like nightmare before Christmas. So that update will likely be for other people and that’s ok.
While it’s not in my top couple favorite star paths, we were definitely lacking music items. On top of that, there are some really exciting things that are bright and colorful. The dance floor alone makes it worth it for me.
I also don’t understand those who aren’t doing the star path because it’s not Halloween. There will likely come a point in the future where those items will be very desirable for a Dreamsnap theme and they’ll wish they had them. When they come back around in the premium shop, they’re going to be a lot more expensive than in the star path. It’s really always worth it to do the star path for me.
I actually do think this star path is Halloween adjacent. I get Descendants vibes and villains, as well as a really cool and fun Halloween concert and festival vibe. I’m currently using other Halloween decor in the area with my stage in the Forgotten Lands and I honestly think it works. I can imagine teens having a fun Halloween dance party with this stuff. 🤷🏻♀️
None of it felt very Disney to me. It felt like the devs used the game to try and prop up that backpack company, and used the dreamsnap this week to drive in the advertising stake. The star path rock n roll theme has no link to Halyx, the rock n roller coaster, or anything else from the parks or films. Then, we get two minor characters from a late 80s film, but still no Snow, no Cinderella, and no Aurora.
It's all very disappointing, especially compared to earlier updates and esoecially in relation to Disney history and his IPs.
@@MrDreamlight Disney is a lot of very different things. Didn’t they recently put out a rock album? A lot of their star paths seem to coincide with current releases. Besides that, not everything in the game has to be Disney. It’s nice to get a variety of items, so that everyone can enjoy the game. I’d personally rather have something fun like this than a bunch more basic and generic “spooky” themed Halloween decor.

A lot of us are here because we grew up on Disney and enjoy interacting with those characters, that environment, and Walter Disney's vision for family-oriented entertainment. Minus that, it's just another cozy game.
The whole point of the game is Disney, the world Walt created for us to enjoy.

They also said this was going to be a smaller update in advance. We will get all the popular Disney Princesses, but they will be spaced out to prolong the life of the game and keep people coming back.

There are Disney items in the star path, such as villain themed items and the Shank outfit, as well as the backpacks. I think the cool lighting and water features will go so well in Dreamsnaps and look so good with other items they have had in the past. While this game is a collaboration with Disney and has to pay them for the use of their characters and park related items, it’s ultimately a Gameloft game and not every single item in game is going to be Disney related.
At the end of the day we’re all going to disagree about things and have our own opinions. And we won’t all like everything that they put out, but there are so many things that I think we’ll all have to look forward to.

For me I didn’t get excited by the star path this time, so I didn’t buy it. Simple as that. There’ll be another update coming soon, nothing to moan about. The game is still incredible and I think just because an update is not to someone’s taste shouldn’t take away from all the other things that are great

Actually this starpath is Disney related. I think the theme is more related to the Disney movie Descendants
Instead of putting 'The Forgotten' on the drum set, they should have made it say 'Descendants' and I think that alone would have tied everything together more nicely.
It can't be a good thing when you look at 60 items in the star path and say "oh those 5 items will be good for dreamsnaps" I personally bought the star path on 4 accounts for something to pass the time , I didn't find it super hard, there was a couple that took a while, but I just did some other tasks and went back to the other one that was troublesome every now and then until it was done.
I wish people would just understand you wont always get what you want / like. I don't actually care about any of the princess IPs. My fav Disney movies are Hercules, Robin Hood, Aladdin, Basil, Arisocats. We have very little content from any of them but it's fine. We might get some, we might not. just try and enjoy what you have.
What about Hanna Montana? This star path reminds me of her and fits her style for me. Sure it's not Halloween, but my valley is getting decorated just fine with what I already have. I have only been playing about 1 1/2 years and this is my second Halloween. I am having a blast! 😁
I actually like this star path. There is more clothing that i love and the hairstyles. I may complete this one. I get what people are saying but its not that deep. We will get more star paths. I didnt care for the tiana path. The clothes fit horribly.
The star path was fine for me. I like the boots, the skirt, the flames and water decor thing. I didn't think it was bad. Won't use the stage but someone else will.
I take it a lot of people have forgotten about the recent surveys in regard to if we want Disney INSPIRED or Disney replicas in the game. This is a Disney inspired Starpath which is literally in the patch notes.
It doesn't feel Disney inspired. It feels generic. Where are the Halyx costumes? The Rock n Roller Coaster? The Tomorrowland stage? The Parent Trap song added to the soundtrack? Rock and Roll Mom, from the Magical World of Disney? Rock n Roll Brunch at the beach club? WDWs All Star Resort? I mean, there is a rich history that nelds Disney, the parks, and rock music, and none of it was referenced. It feels very surface-y, with no depth of thought or consideration of actual events, places, ir oeople.

Hobestly, Im masc my character is a man... and we dont get enough clothing items like thats just a fact most of the clothes are fem so it was bice to have a star path where i can make an outfit out of almost everything . Even if i do wish it was Halloween.

Well I don’t mind this star path because when I played with the Halloween star path I don’t celebrate it so I didn’t bother with it.
There’s only 1 maybe 2 things I haven’t liked this update 1 being the new recommended tab in the premium shop so far 2/4 items both weeks have been things i own and i don’t own a of the items other than star path ones and depending on what happens with future star paths the fact they went from having 2 skins in it to 1 to none now so hopefully they bring them back to being in them soon
The playerbase: this game is broken and Gameloft needs to fix their shit or we will all quit!
Gameloft: ok fine we will spend an entire update fixing bugs and optimizing the game... just keep in mind that means less new content for that one update.

Playstation stuttering aside the game is more stable and they fixed loads of things... Playstation fans could use some pain for once and stuttering is nothing, many of us xbox players have been crashing every few minutes we spent outside in the valley ever since the expansion part 2 dropped and at least for me that is finally fixed... new crashes in the event ui and exiting furniture mode for me though, but I can actually play the game reasonably again...
Also I never want to see Halloween stuff ever again, this community has made me despise the holiday with their nonsense... why limit what content Gameloft is allowed to make to seasonally themed stuff? As long as it is disney stuff it should be fine regardless of the irl season, or at least a content theme not yet well explored like the current punk/rock themed starpath... not my favorite theme either but I still liked several of the items, I think this update was great

I feel like it does feel Disney coded as Disney recently put out a new pop-punk album called A World New World with classic Disney songs covers from bands like New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Mayday Parade, etc. I personally have enjoyed all the new items we have gotten. I get the frustration as I am a Halloween girly, but have liked these items more as I have unlocked them. At the end of the day, everyone isn't going to be happy with everything that comes to the game. At least we are getting continued updates and I am sure that you will like something else that comes down the line.

So this may very well be the most split update we have seen and why I made this video to show everyone, yes this update might not be everyones favorite but it still has great things and next update is soon.
I really wanted the halloween starpath items and yes i know not everyone celebrates it but ithink even if ya dont celebrate you accept halloween in in october and kinda expect to have some of it thrown in there someplace, really kinda dont care if i finish it or not and im not into music so most items i probably wont even use

I like the Starpath. I am getting tired of the sloppy game mechanics. Game shutdowns, hard to find items, screwed up item catalog, the all important camera has clunky controls, the lights not working on items and houses. So many quest bugs. And the clunky controls to make your own dresses etc. There’s some poor coding and poor customer support. And we paid for this game. Don’t tell me there are good excuses or that I need to not hurt someone’s feelings for saying what is. The game’s not that complicated and should have better features. These things are wearing down my enthusiasm for sure.

I like the star path for the most part. The timing is odd, but whatever lol. I do wish they’d change the auto save to every two or three minutes instead of every minute. I end up missing a lot of the crop explosions due to the slight stuttering (I’m on switch). Also, my game has frozen at least twice trying to talk to Pumbaa and I had to close and re-open the game. And the game is freezing some again after voting a few times for dreamsnaps. After the hotfix after the last update, that wasn’t an issue, but now it is again. It’s not a huge deal, but it is a bit bothersome.
The thing I disliked most about this update is the night mite chase. I hate having to chase after stuff in this game in general, but it was made worse this time because Pumbaa was following us nearly the whole time. He got in the way when I’d press A to catch a bug, I’d end up triggering a conversation with him instead. This made the quest take even longer lol. I thought chasing Oswald’s clocks was bad, but those bugs were way worse. My fingers were cramping so much doing it. It’s ironic to me that gameloft changed the glide button to help players with arthritis, but then make us chase down all those stupid mites which is also hard on arthritis. If they are going to make us chase bugs so often, I wish they’d just give us a bug net royal tool that we can use by pressing Y (or whatever on other devices) instead of A, that way it won’t trigger talking to characters while trying to chase bugs.
But, other than the aforementioned stuff, the update has been great. I do wish they’d give us an option to turn off the remy delivery requests. I don’t really need anymore wrought iron right now. The only thing I made multiples of was the fence anyway lol. Remy keeps following me going “can I talk to you?” Lol.
The biggest problem is that they never seem to be listening to what we want. Everyone said they wanted a recipe search bar more than anything, it never came.
People said they wanted to be able to access Dreamsnaps they'd taken within the game. It's still not here.
People said they wanted the restaurant orders to appear under the star the way tracked items are. Not here.
They could have saved so much face about the Halloween drama by just letting everyone get one free Halloween item and assigning redemption codes to everything. People who badly wanted some Halloween related item from a past Starpath would at least have had something to satisfy them.
Gameloft doesn't listen, or worse, they listen but intentionally don't give us what we want most, while always looking for new ways to bleed us dry.

Sorry but all the updates. The star path. The shop.. the free updates were all a miss. They really missed out of the opportunity to actually make money. I tend to spend money on games for the holiday stuff. No holiday stuff. It made my choice very very easy. They messed up by not releasing nightmare before Christmas characters.

Gameloft has no control over the limitations of the Switch. The console is old and the processor is out of date. They can only do so much for an outdated console. Nintendo is the one that needs to step up their game to compete with the platforms that can handle the game better.
I think this person needs to grow up and touch some grass. I didn’t like one item in the new star path but as an adult I can recognise that not everything will appeal to me and that there may be (or already have had been) star paths that I liked and others didn’t…. At least they’re doing something new and different and I hope they continue.
It’s just the same complaint people have been making for weeks, they want Halloween things… there are already Halloween things and if there’s only 4/5 updates a year I don’t want one of those taken up by something that’s already happened (and then another one on Christmas). You can always just not play the game, nobody cares.

Mmm, I don’t think it’s entirely accurate to say they’ve never delayed. They’ve been minor delays for sure. feel like the monsters Inc update was delayed and so was the Mulan. They don’t give specific dates, but the monster star path was very valentines coded for being released weeks after and Mulan was supposed to be late spring she came out in summer. Minor seeking delays so no biggie, but for accuracies sake it’s just no major delays in updates which is impressive. This rock and roll Star path is meh for me, but it is what it is. I think one thing we all learn from this one (if you don’t like it) is we should consider looking at the Star path rewards and choosing if we really want it before buying it. That’s at least what I’m gonna do.

I really do not like this update at all. It's dull af and I feel like I wasted my moonstones unlocking it.
I voted meh. I like some of the items but a lot just feels tossed together. I would have rather had a full 6 pages as the time frame wasn't actually shorter than other StarPaths. Even if it was more motifs and such. I am definitely one of the people that wanted & anticipated more spooky stuff. So I was disappointed. I am also sad for the newer players who have to pay for the items... I agree that if this StarPath had been released at a different time, it wouldn't have gotten so many dislikes. I disagree that this doesn't have a Disney vibe to it. The clothing in particular screams Descendants which is a Disney franchise. The movies are live action though there was a short lived animated series as well. Descendants 4 was released recently. However, I think it didn't do as well as the original trilogy. It was poorly done. Also not having the original creators & cast involved hurt it a lot. (One of the leads passed away very young so the original cast felt strongly that the triology should be the end.) The colors & vibe of the Punk Princess items is very similar to the colors for the new release. The back of the jacket is very similar to Mal's artwork in the original Descendants movies.

May as well cancel a Christmas starpath as well bc some of us don’t celebrate it and do celebrate Halloween. Totally unfair and they’ve made it all about a money wall and poor mechanics . They’re supposed to be in with Disney but don’t give us what Disney is capable of like cut scenes could be off the chain instead of a black screen clip and a whole lot more . They need to rethink it all ; the Starpath too .

I am with you on the game development complaints. Cut screens on quests, repetitive dialogue from a soundboard, no real interactions with toons... I've had more meaningful conversations with GTA and Skyrim NPCs.

This is my least favorite of all the Star Paths I've seen and played so far. It's very, very low on my totem pole. The theme is way off for me. Even Disney doesn't have a punk rock theme. Where they do go all out for Halloween and the other seasonal holidays. I did complete the Star Path, but only because there was nothing else to do in the game. It was that or nothing. Was I in a rush? No. But it was so small I completed it quickly. This time I feel that GameLoft dropped the ball with this Star Path. Again, this is just my opinion.

Still no Snow, no Aurora, and no Cinderella. Instrad of going with a classic or modern Disney idea, they chose a rock & roll theme... but had no tie-in or mention of Halyx, of the Rock n Roller Cosster, or anything to make it related to the films or parks. It's 'like the devs have no sense of park history, or of Walter Elias Disney.
The game still feels really, really incomplete. If it wasn't for the Mickey & Friends content, I would have quit already. Even with those characters the game is growing stale because they just repeat the same soundboard comments, over and over and over again.
I thought the starpath was soooo boring , royal duties followed by royal duties etc etc , also I play on switch and every update makes the game almost unplayable, why do pc users get the best deal ? We didn’t pay a penny less for the switch version , I could have bought it for pc but I like playing on my tv screen , sort it out devs or I will be quitting along with every other switch user methinks .
There is a way you can play from your PC onto your TV and not have to use your Switch but that depends on your tech abilities, plus playing on PC is way more expensive than a Switch, meaning less problems. You cannot open the Switch and funk around like you can on a PC 👍
Gameloft has no control over the limitations of the Switch. It's an outdated console with an outdated processor. Nintendo is the one that needs to step up their game to stay in competition with the other platforms! Plus I also play on Switch and have very little issues with the game. The decorating limit issue is my problem which is why I also have a PS5 account.

Not gonna lie, this is the most boring star path ever. I have been playing since November 2022 and this is the first time since I am like meh, I don’t want any of that
