    Really impressive! I love that despite the complex mechanism, it gives a feeling of solidity once assembled, with little play and a butter smooth action.
    I've read you're making instructions, and even though I haven't touched legos for a while, I'll definitely check them out when they're available! Keep up the good work!

    I've always thought there was something almost more authentic about having a miss-match colored pieces than having them all be in the same color palette. Sure, having a set number of colors looks cool, but when it's totally mixed around and you get some weird off-color pieces in there (dark green, orange, a different shade of blue, etc), I think that's more authentic as a home build

    • @legotechnicmastery
      @legotechnicmastery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I totally agree! Though I've fallen into the perfectionist spiral, some times spending more time looking for matching parts than building. It is pretty much a curse 😬
      I don't know if there are other builders under this spell, but I've met a few artists subject to this phenomenon.

      Ça me prendrait des journées entières pour réaliser des instructions de montage en vidéo. J'ai déjà un modèle 3D que je devrais pouvoir convertir en instructions de montage photographiques. Je n'ai tout simplement pas le temps pour le moment.

    • @PierrickAnceaux
      @PierrickAnceaux 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@legotechnicmastery Si ça t'intéresse toujours -2 ans après- j'ai réussi à recréer ton splendide modèle en regardant attentivement la vidéo (ainsi que celle postée le 23 dec 2017)
      Il me manque des vérins pour l'avoir en entier mais chaque élément fonctionne comme tu l'as développé à l'origine. Je peux faire ce montage photo à partir de ma construction mais je ne le dévoilerai PAS sur internet sans ton accord.

    • @legotechnicmastery
      @legotechnicmastery  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ça fait des années que des gens me demandent des instructions de montage (mais soyons clairs... j'ai toujours pensé que si quelqu'un voulait vraiment la construire, il suffisait de regarder attentivement la vidéo, puisque toutes les pièces sont visibles à un moment où un autre). Alors bravo !
      Je suis très curieux de voir tout ça ;)

      @@legotechnicmastery Congratulations once again for the work you've done.
      Luckily enough, I managed to rebuild it myself. It needed spending a lot of time analyzing the video frame by frame to see 95% of the parts you use, and guess the 5% i couldnt see (mainly for the thumb mouvements you hid inside the wrist/ palm section)

      After you are done use ur brain to fill the gaps if there are any left.

    • @legotechnicmastery
      @legotechnicmastery  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A lot of time, I come up with these mechanisms, messing around with Lego parts, trying to recreate what I had in mind.
      At my channel, I only show the best of the best of my creations, for each creation, you can assume I made at least 7 prototypes !
      You can also try to addapt "real life" mechanisms, in Lego, using your knowlage.
      For the Hand, I had to invent quite a lot of mechanisms which did not exist already (folding fingers, stretching mechanism).
      I definitely recommend you looking for "Linkage Mechanisms" on Internet ! It helped a lot for all sorts of things.

      Love the subtle reference. That song will forever remind me of Lego Technic.

      Soon, you'll be able ! I just have to finish the 3D model, along the Video building instructions, The part list & all the other stuff that goes with it... While continuously improving it ^^ I hope to finish it by the end of the week... If I manage to move my own ass enough XD

      Untill now, I was constantly updating the parts of the hand. Now I feel I achieved an acceptable level of perfectionism ^^ I am making instructions so, they should be finished during the week !
      I remember you asking for instructions a year or two ago, Do you forgive me if I send you the instructions by email before everyone else for testing ?
