Most influential band of my teen years: One of the best things was they all had great personalities and tons of attitude! Makes me proud to be British. The East End's finest!
The Cockney Rejects must be one of the most underrated bands. However, one can hear their influence in so many subsequent bands who had more commercial success than them. Good on them that they are still going after all the years. By the way, Jeff Turner's (Jeff Geggus) book 'Cockney Reject' is well worth a read, and the documentary film from which this clip is taken, 'Rough cut and Ready Dubbed' (1982), is something of a 'lost gem'.
Seen em loads of times back in the early 80,s in Huddersfield , great band , they gota a bit of stick up north being West Ham , but the shows always went on ⚒⚒👍👍
The are not underrated. They where signed to EMI, got a fair share of radio play, appeared on the top of the pops a couple of times ... whole world knows who the Rejects are and everybody loves them!
I didn't know that there was a band named "Cockney Rejects"...I thought it was just English men insulting each other on the You Tube punk rock video comment section...They were a heavy punk band, obviously...Damn !!!👍
