great video! Really loved it. Question, how do you cut out the windows and things using the pen tool? I cant figure it out and google doesnt give any insight? Delete key after i make a selection doesnt work.

After selection with pen tool, just right click and make selection and then delete or backspace

I am guessing that you might have your background set as smart object, convert it to a rasterized layer by right clicking on that layer and choose "Rasterize layer", anytime you select on that layer and hit Backspace or Delete, it gets deleted.
Also, if you select with a pen tool, it creates a pen-shape layer, make sure you select the layer you want to cut from before you hit backspace.
