From 2 + 3-x/2(1-x) (3x-1), where did the number "2" from 2(1-x) (3x-1) come from??

Hi Thierry, I suppose you are asking about 4.00". The 2 is a common factor from -6x^2+8x-2. Basically, -6x^2+8x-2= 2(-3x^2 +4x -1)= 2[(1-x)(3x-1)].
