    There's a crystal clear YT video, well produced BBC clip from 1968, in vivid color, of Green, Kirwan, and Spencer playing the hauntingly, beautiful instrumental, "Albatross".

    It's a shame that Jeremy Spencer lost his marbles and joined the children of god. They may have lost the great Peter Green, but I believe that this Kiln House incarnation of Fleetwood Mac could've made some great music.

      Well, they did indeed make some great music though Jeremy was gone and Bob Welsh added, Future Games and Bare Trees were great albums IMO.

    Outside of the Peter Green incarnation, this is the next best like up by a mile. Everyone wanks on about Buckingham/nicks period-bit to me I adore the lost years. “Future Games” is easily my second fave FM lp. Its glorious.

    I assume the full videos don't exist and these are snippets from some TV show? If there are full clips please let us in on them. There is almost nothing on video from this era. Beat Club and I found one other clip "Station Man" on YT from Kiln House. Actually it's a full video. Don't know if it's still up, but I downloaded that one immediately.

    Do you know what tape this came from, or what documentary it was originally part of? I can't find any more information other than Kinolibrary will license the clips. Might I be able to get in touch with you to get a copy of station man? The other version on TH-cam is lower quality and plays too slow.

    • @vibesinthesky
      @vibesinthesky  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a BBC documentary on the blues I recorded quite a few years back. The Station Man video I made from cobbling together the clips and lip synching them to the original audio track to make it a full song. The Beeb did a copyright strike on me for my efforts! Send me a contact email address if you want it topcat@vibesinthesky.co.uk

    Spencer has some beefy tone on that guild and sounds great! I'm so disappointed with the clip of Danny Kirwan. I think he forgot the words so he just took a solo and ended it or someone messed up. I still haven't seen a good clip of Danny singing.

      I think there is a version of Dragonfly on Beat Club with Danny singing it may well be live but its edited and they added many arty special effects to it so its kind of frustrating for wanting to see just a straight on the stage band playing.

      You wish. I prefer the same three chords played this way 2000 times over cringy, poppy, bubblegum bullshit that anyone can write for trying to appeal to the worst part of the market, gay bars and middle-aged women cleaning their man's house. Seriously, you like that? What are you, an old lady, a f4g or some'?
      Kirwan and Green were infinite times better as songwriters than the goat biatch and the funny-looking guy, also more original.
      For God sake, they even inspired the Beatles. Lennon was fan of them in 68-69 and Harrison respected them. They even wrote not just one, but two song (at least) inspired directly from PG's FM.
      Also, they inspired Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Judas Priest etc.
      Who was inspired by ur goat and funny lookin fella huh? Taylor Swift? Mariah Carey? Every 80s bullshit dated white nannys music arranger like Top Gun's soundtrack?
      Holy Christ, the shit that one has to read
