I began my journey into climbing at Tufas in 2019 with no climbing experience. I immediately fell in love with the vibes and community of this place. Their routesetting is fun and flowy across all grade levels, making climbing very exciting for both beginners and veterans alike. I think I signed up for a membership and bought a pair of shoes during my first week there. Fast forward 3 years later and I'm now the assistant manager as well as a climbing instructor there. I can now confidently say that every team member between our front desk staff, setters, coaches and managers pour every ounce of love and passion they have for our sport into Tufas. I absolutely love your narration, cinematography, and the way you presented and captured the vibes of Tufas Boulder Lounge. Thanks for climbing with us, and I'm looking forward to more awesome climbing content!
Alexi! This is beautiful, thank you for such a kind comment and glad you enjoyed the video. I will reach out if I’m ever back in the area, would love to climb together 💛
Like the mix of walking, sunrise and the Phili area. I was there back in June with my now college grad, Jasmine. Lounge is right-so chill and comfy. She had a tough time on slab, too. Climbing was all good fun. 🤩 Great job on all the climbs. 🤙
(Belated) welcome to Philly! Glad you were able to fit some fun climbs in here. Plenty of interesting gyms around if you come back with more time, in and around the city.
Niiiice! Up in my neck of the woods. I do often feel like Tufas sets the scariest slabs in the area. And often, the scariest moves of the boulders are right at the top of the climbs. Glad you enjoyed it! I do enjoy the gym review/travel videos. Cheers!
I wanna climb that purple slab route at the beginning! This makes me wish I had gotten into climbing earlier.... I lived in Philly for three years as a grad student at Temple University, and it looks like this gym is right near campus
hey i saw one of your videos from Red River Gorge and i really want to complete a climb there before i go in the army but i dont know what type of gear to get. when i was younger i struggled with trusting the equipment because i weighed so much more back then but now i have lost a bunch of weight and actually believe it can hold me. do you have any tips as to what gear to get?
I recommend going with a guide! Getting your own equipment is one piece of the puzzle, but the knowledge and skills you’ll need to climb outside are way more important than any equipment and should be practiced under supervision before going outside by yourself and giving it a go! :) Just Google “guiding services for climbing in the Red River Gorge” and I’m sure a million will pop up, I always see guides when I’m down there :)
@@courtclimbs my dad took my brother and I out there many times i was always too scared too cause of my weight my dad taught me everything he knew he was a great climber till his diabetes started going crazy. he cant climb anymore and he cant even hike to the rocks anymore sadly but i want him to see me complete one rock before i go but i will see about a guide. are they open all year?
Brushing holds...haha...is for when you're a rockstar and if you can just clean that crimper a little more you'll be able to send that V8. Don't brush holds on a V2 or whatever that is. Yes, I am an elitist and a gatekeeper. 😉
Rest weeks be like ‘just watch Court climb instead’.
🥲 This is so nice. 💛
