I got so excited when I seen Brian on the podcast. I am an ex rugby player with two bulging discs in my back, and two prolapsed discs in my neck. I started following Brian and Stewart and it's has made a serious impact on me. The McGill big 3 are part of my daily routine and I feel it really has helped me. I am now powerlifting hitting some decent numbers for me mainly pain free, thanks so much for all the information guys. Dave hands down one of the best podcast around thank you
That was excellent guy's. Recently purchased a SS yoke bar , have back issues myself but at 57 will figure it out eventually and on to the master national's. Boy do I love Powerlifting and training. Thanks for a informative and fun podcast. Patrick Rooney.
Dave, not to argue with you, but you often reference raw lifting started 2012. I started following Powerlifting in 1973 at 11 years old and went to the world's twice at York. Those guys in the 70's , Larry Pacifico, Doug young, Lamar Gant etc., etc. All lifted in just singlets, single ply not invented yet. I'm sure louie can vouch for it. That ( the 70's ) was the golden age of P.L. love your info.
So when you said youve never seen a lifter say hes admitted to squatting high and getting it, Yury Belkin actually did after his atwr at 100kg with 1066kg. He did a video in russia and said he realized they were allowing squats and they gave him a gift. Other than him its incredibly are to see though
After this podcast, we went to eat and ran into Louie Simmons. What a surprise! This was the last time I saw Lou.
Great show guys, I loved it. Also, I doubt he will ever see this, but Brian's book with Dr. McGill is fantastic and thank him for that.

I am 30, 6'6", 224lbs. I want to compete but I obviously need to gain weight. I think 4 years to 300-320lbs is feasible. Am I crazy?
Top 5 for sure! Maybe #1
