    Great tutorial. I bought a 12" wire frame and a big bunch of natural eucalyptus at Michaels craft store. Paid $15. Going round and round with the wire didn't work for me. I wound up wiring 4-5 sprigs tightly together, then attaching each bunch to the form tightly with more wire. Completed the wreath in 45 minutes.It was easy, no messy glue, and the wreath is lovely! If I do this again, I will probably use a variety of greenery and make fuller bunches though.

    I absolutely love this and have almost everything to make it. Can I directly hang it on my door without drying? It's 20-30 degrees out. I don't want it to loose its form. I'd like to have it for years to come!

    • @monicastarr967
      @monicastarr967 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can hang it to dry, however, it gets a little droopy. I suggest laying it on a table to dry and then placing on your door.

    • @monicastarr967
      @monicastarr967 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I find it works best to lay it on a table as a centerpiece until it is completely dry. Then you can hang it on the wall or door and it will look full and pretty. You can also spray your wreath when it is dry with a coat or two of clear acrylic spray sealer (found at any hardware store in the spray paint department) to make it a little more sturdy. The only downside is that it will lose its great fresh fragrance.

    Beautiful. It must be fragrant to have in the house. How long does it keep?

    • @monicastarr967
      @monicastarr967 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This wreath remains fresh for about 2-3 days, depending on how humid the area you place it in is. You can dry it on a flat surface (like a table) first, then hang it and it will last for months to come.

    how would you recommend sealing the sticky ends if I use euc to create hoop bouquets for a wedding?

    • @monicastarr967
      @monicastarr967 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eucalyptus does produce a sticky gum when the stems are cut. The oozing gum does stop after a few hours. I would recommend creating the day before and misting the wreath with water, placing in a plastic bag, and keeping it cool until the wedding. The sticky ends should be sealed up by then.

    What size of ring is this? At my local wholesaler they have 25cm rings. Is this the same size as what you used here? 🌿

    • @monicastarr967
      @monicastarr967 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Emma Harvey you can use any size wreath form you like and will just need to adjust the amount of eucalyptus accordingly. The 25 cm is smaller than the one I used for the video, so it would take just a touch less eucalyptus or the same amount and you could make it fuller.

    Love the video - how many stems of each eucalyptus did you use?

    • @monicastarr967
      @monicastarr967 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I used about 3-4 full stems of each of the 4 varieties of eucalyptus (about 1/3-1/2 of a bunch, per type). The baby blue (tall linear eucalyptus) is about 12 stems.

    How many bunches of each type of eucalyptus would you say that you used? And what size metal wreath form did you use?

    • @monicastarr967
      @monicastarr967 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used about 1/3 of a bunch of each type of eucalyptus for a 14" wreath form. You could add more or less eucalyptus, depending on how full you would like your wreath. You could also use one main type (like the baby blue) all the way around and then just put touches of the other varieties, this works great if you are not able to buy several varieties.

      Monica Starr how many stems are in 1/3 of your bunch? Trying to gauge how many stems I need. Mine don’t come in bunches. 🙂

      I used fresh eucalyptus to create this wreath. You could create yours with preserved eucalyptus (found at most craft stores).
