Typhoon Lagoon has the greatest wave pool I have ever been in! If you start near the rope when it starts and you paddle before the wave comes in, you can pretty much surf the wave a good 150 feet!
I went to Disney World in 1996 but unfortunately didn’t get the chance to go to Typhoon Lagoon but if I ever go to Orlando again I will as it looks amazing! The slides look like so much fun as does the wave machine! That is so cool that you are able to go snorkelling as well. Disney really does have it all. Its such a fantastic place that you wouldn’t want to leave.
@straighthusler Thanks. The camera is a Sony DSC-TX5 and it's waterproof camera. The model they have replaced it with is the DSC-TX10 with a few more megapixels and records Full HD video (mine only does 720p which is still good anyway!). Have a great trip... Disney World is awesome!!!
From what I remember, most of the steps and paths to the slides are concrete and built into hills... so it doesn't really feel like you are climbing a tower. The water roller coaster slides called Crush 'n' Gusher has steps to climb, but don't really go too high. Have fun!
I loved Typhoon Lagoon! But when I was there the last time a girl died in the wave pool so I was too scared to go into the waves! Stuck to the lazy river!
Keren Leah Young I'm not a Disney rep or anything, but I looked this up and found out the girl had a heart infection. It's a sad story. I pray God will console her family.
Disney World has 2 water parks - Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. They are not joined to any of the 4 Disney World theme parks, they are standalone water parks within Disney World. Highly recommend you go to both of them!
I loved the place! Went to Disney for the first time two weeks ago and I spent the first half of the second day here. I can't swim very well but I LOVED THIS PARK. Didn't make it to Blizzard beach though...
@MsLexias This footage was from the 2nd week of September last year. The crowds were actually pretty low in my opinion... the slides you see with the really long lines are more because they seem to be a low capacity ride. I actually did these slides when I first got there and walked straight on... when I saw the lines later in the day, I was glad I did because they wouldn't be worth a long wait in my opinion!
The wave pool looks like so much fun! But when I saw it on here the first thought that came to my mind was,"GERMS!" Being the germiphobe that I am, that is nothing new! xD
yeah well any wave pool is like that. But the filtration system in this park is a lot better than most. You'd hate my job which involves fitting things to cars, going under the 'hood' to change bulbs and sometimes having to go underneath the car, means getting my hands covered in road muck and grime.
I've been to typhoon lagoon before but it was quite a few years ago so I don't really remember it too much. But I'm going there this August and I'm really looking forward to it!
Actually, it is waterproof to 3 metres. It is a Sony DSC-TX5 which has now been replaced by the DSC-TX10 which can record in Full HD (the TX5 records in 720p). Great camera as it is very compact for a waterproof camera.
Without question, I preferred the Disney water parks to Wet n Wild... on my holiday, I also stayed pretty close to Wet n Wild and went there a couple of times for a couple of hours, but to me, it is just concrete paths and slides... the water parks at Disney World are incredibly themed, are a lot of fun and have a great range of slides.
Camera is a Sony DSC-TX5... it has now been replaced with the Sony DSC-TX10. I live in Australia, so it would be best for you to check the price yourself where you live... or google it.
When you buy your tickets, you need to include the "Water Park Fun & More" option. I just checked, the Park Hopper add-on is about $57 and the Water Park Fun & More add-on is also about $57, or you can add both options for just $79.
The surface at the bottom if the wave pushes you down far enough, with enough force can cut you or hurt you! Plus the waves themselves are very strong. It will tire you out fast!
There's a water park in north Texas called nrH2O and its basically the same thing just cheaper and you have to walk less to get from one place to another.
My camera only records in 720p - it's a Sony DSC-TX5. However, Sony have since released a new version of this camera which records in 1080 HD... it's the Sony DSC-TX10. They are a great camera and very compact so I highly recommend it!
The first time I swan the shark reef I was like 7, I freaked out and stayed in the middle on the reef haha. Not dying there helped me conquer some fears and now I've swam with sharks bigger than me!
No... didn't ask for permission... after seeing heaps of other videos on youtube, I assumed that it was OK. The cast members at the top of the slides never said anything and seemed more than happy for me to have a camera. Disney seem to be happy for visitors to use cameras on rides... which is good for me to relive some memories coz it might be a while before I return as I live in Australia.
@punkteeen13 Of the 3 slides, only 2 of them allow a single rider... so those were the 2 I went on (travelling on my own)... not sure what ones they were though.
I might be going to Disney World this summer, my dad said a few minutes ago :D I've always wanted to go to one of the water parks but when I asked my dad about it last time we were at Disney (last summer) I think he said something about a package. Do you have to have a certain Disney package to go to the water parks?
is the wave pool scary?? i have been at the wave pool in great wolf lodge but the wave pool is there isnt nearly as big as the one in the video..i just wann know cuz im going in a couple of months :D
1:54 i was 5 years old and a shorty and got tumbled by that wave grabbed some ladys hair and almost drowned! I hated that same place and day when that happened, but now when i look back on it 8, almost 9 years later that was a pretty funny day. ^-^ my mom still hates it though cause she got tumbled by the same wave too trying to grab on to me before we got hit by it -.-
When I was younger I did that tidal wave thing and I let go of my moms hand, fell and I have a giant scar on my ankle from scraping it on the bottom. OUCH!
I have to say as bad as my legs got throughout the entire trip (I could hardly walk or stand for long periods of time) The stairs weren't as torturous as they looked.
i know im not the creator but i have a camera that records in 1080P HD waterproof shockproof and dustproof. it is very small(pocket sized) and lightweight. it is the Kodak Play sport dis.(there are two verisons of it.) I (myself)Think it is the best camera i ever had.
Nabil Tohoin I... Heh, will just say i`m REALLY close to Disney, though I must say- I don`t suggest the magic kingdom. At least for those who like fast rides, the only two rides that I know of like that take an hour in line to get to. Otherwise it`s really fun! ~ :3
Would someone who has been here before say that it would be worth it to go for someone whos going to WDW for a couple days and lives in the midwest, so will not be coming back very soon?

I'm so excited to go to Disney World next week!!
I wish my family can go there. Look how fun in this Typhoon Lagoon. Great experience, great memories and the almost the best day ever.

Yay going in September for my first time since 2001. Can't wait!
one of the best walktrough's that I have seen so far thank you :)

Lol! The wave pool was funny. Everyone was like swim for your life! XD
From what I remember, most of the steps and paths to the slides are concrete and built into hills... so it doesn't really feel like you are climbing a tower. The water roller coaster slides called Crush 'n' Gusher has steps to climb, but don't really go too high. Have fun!
Thanks for making this video it brings back so many memories from when I went 👍🏻
No worries... glad you enjoyed it! :)
Slides and tubes, the best two ways to blow a hot day away.
I spent a full day here last year! Love it. :)
Love Typhoon Lagoon - your video is excellent and brings back great memories. Thank you.
+CyborgNinja7 How sad and awful for the family, we can never taken life for granted.
Disney World has 2 water parks - Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. They are not joined to any of the 4 Disney World theme parks, they are standalone water parks within Disney World. Highly recommend you go to both of them!
Now this is a park that built nature around the rides
I loved the place! Went to Disney for the first time two weeks ago and I spent the first half of the second day here. I can't swim very well but I LOVED THIS PARK. Didn't make it to Blizzard beach though...
It's a Sony TX5 (new model is now the TX10)... waterproof to about 3 metres... great little camera!

Disney always does it best :)

Man, i used to love this ride so much my mom and dad took me here every month or so!
...until i moved to texas. D: D: D:
Did anybody notice at 7:10 there is a fart noise XD
Planning on going there when we go to Florida in the spring.

I really want to go back. I miss Disney :(
I have the annual passes here LOL! But I LOVE this Waterpark. You have to be careful in that wavepool though!
Love this ride , did all three slides
Every time I went in the wave pool I got washed back into the shallow end and scraped my knees -.-
Poor u. I hope u are ok now and that the same doesn't happen to me
The spinning happened to me to. It was AWESOME!
I love the river rafting.
I miss this park :( and Blizzard Beach man I HAD A BLAST!
Well spotted! :) It's a Sony TX5 (current model is the TX10)
There's a water park in north Texas called nrH2O and its basically the same thing just cheaper and you have to walk less to get from one place to another.
The wave pool is walkin and just gets gradually deeper. Not sure how deep at the deepest end, but probably around 6ft I would guess.
My camera only records in 720p - it's a Sony DSC-TX5. However, Sony have since released a new version of this camera which records in 1080 HD... it's the Sony DSC-TX10. They are a great camera and very compact so I highly recommend it!
@LPSLovingGirl12 Yep, it's at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
the scenery is dope!
The first time I swan the shark reef I was like 7, I freaked out and stayed in the middle on the reef haha. Not dying there helped me conquer some fears and now I've swam with sharks bigger than me!

Mom would love this place.
HAZE_productions Nobody cares about you or your mom.
+Massive Douche and no one cares about you not caring. So just leave them alone please.
@punkteeen13 Of the 3 slides, only 2 of them allow a single rider... so those were the 2 I went on (travelling on my own)... not sure what ones they were though.
It was a Sony TX5. Think the new model is the Sony TX30.
I'm really excited because I'm going there this July! YAY
YASSS WHAT DAY?
I would not go in July I know some one who went in July and there flip flops melted
nic moff. Omg I can't believe that because I live in the UK and the umbrella for the shade melted lol must be florida and UK ( isle of Wight)

@Gi Sodré This video is all about Typhoon Lagoon... I have a separate video for Blizzard Beach!
I did EVERYTHING at Typhoon Lagoon:)
Those are the jet spays that propel you upward through the tube with speed.
Finally, a real wave pool!
Body water.....don't drink it lol
I went there when I was a kid I loved it, they were just about to open Blizzard beach that year too :)
This is a very nice video...thanks for sharing!
Thanks... glad you liked it! :)

I'm pretty sure they are a magnetic system to propel the raft uphill.
Typhon Lagoon -.- I was 9 and this wave crashed me.I blooded all day -.- And I cried :D
No, it was a Sony TX5 digital camera
nice roller coaster tycoon texture pack
Glad ya liked it!

Love this ride/slide
1:54 i was 5 years old and a shorty and got tumbled by that wave grabbed some ladys hair and almost drowned! I hated that same place and day when that happened, but now when i look back on it 8, almost 9 years later that was a pretty funny day. ^-^ my mom still hates it though cause she got tumbled by the same wave too trying to grab on to me before we got hit by it -.-
When I was younger I did that tidal wave thing and I let go of my moms hand, fell and I have a giant scar on my ankle from scraping it on the bottom. OUCH!
How do ya know it's still alive? :)
It's a Sony TX5 which is waterproof to about 3 metres... and it's still alive.
Great video!
Very well done
every single ride at a water park
I have to say as bad as my legs got throughout the entire trip (I could hardly walk or stand for long periods of time) The stairs weren't as torturous as they looked.
i hate flipping on tubes! dont ask why but anywho! i really dont want to ride a ride where im likely to flip. which ones should i avoid?????
This makes me really want to go there
i know im not the creator but i have a camera that records in 1080P HD waterproof shockproof and dustproof. it is very small(pocket sized) and lightweight. it is the Kodak Play sport dis.(there are two verisons of it.) I (myself)Think it is the best camera i ever had.
Is it concrete at the bottom of the wave pool? Or sand? Just wondering because I could never find an answer.
Have fun. I'm going in July.
Me and family are all going back again on the 22 july...! 55 days to go and counting Yesssssssssss ..............!!!!!!!!!!!
BEST. WAVE POOL. EVER.
How much money was your waterproof camera, if you dont mind me asking. My family is going to a waterpark soon and I want to get one.
meanwhile i live far away in the east
just watch this on youtube
Same
i mean i'm currently live in far east asia not in the states
Oh I just live in the north east of the states. Is it fun in asia? I really want to go there considering that my name is Aysia XD
Nabil Tohoin I... Heh, will just say i`m REALLY close to Disney, though I must say- I don`t suggest the magic kingdom. At least for those who like fast rides, the only two rides that I know of like that take an hour in line to get to.
Otherwise it`s really fun! ~ :3
I was there (((: this is the coolest place on earth! (:
Some of those lines look really long! :(
I'm going next week. Is the first week of September a bad time to go?
Would someone who has been here before say that it would be worth it to go for someone whos going to WDW for a couple days and lives in the midwest, so will not be coming back very soon?
hey which park you like better these parks or wet and wild?
hey is it it the lazy river were the sharks are ?
I might be going back in 2 years
Awesome vid!!!
Hey dude(Creator) I need some advice on what Camera to get to record in 1080 HD and that is water proof any suggestions?
I never asked, but all staff saw I had a camera and they didn't seem to mind... so I think it is OK.
What I like about inner tube rides at water parks, you're a free-falling!!!!
I wish I could go to one of the water parks :/ my parents don't have enough money for the water park package but i'm still going this summer :]
Very nicely done video. :)
Yep, they give you a snorkle and mask to wear... happy to blame the sound on that! :)
