wouldn't it be possible with a 1:5th scale servo? i know that depending on what transmitter you have, you can set up a 2-way switch to make the servo go one way a little bit, and back to neutral. if you make it go down for one way on the switch, and up for the other, you should be able to shift gears. as for the servo on the quad, it shouldn't be any problem to figure out a link between the existing gearchanger, and the servo =)
Springs are too hard, they need to be drastically softer without a rider on. i discovered this when i converted a mini quad to rc, the stock springs might as well be bricks without a riders weight but 7mm thickness to 4mm springs changes everything and stops the bouncing. dont know what the spring thickness is on those quads but a similar reduction would make a huge difference
Steve Fox no I chopped up the a arms and made them longer. Made the quad like 8-10 inches wider and softened up the suspension. There’s videos on here about it
i have this idea for years, only no time and money. Anyway, you should try to change the gear, like a tooth or 2 more at the engine, or a few less at the rear. because it can go alot faster now that it doesn't have to carry the weight of a grown up. Also try to find some weaker springs, because these ones are way to hard for the same reason, so weaker ones wil give it a much better handling. And how about a body from a per perego ride on jeep? Because that's the best looking scale body imo.
ah. i see. and after some calculating, it see it would land around 470USD for a new radio+engine. but it isn't the biggest money, compared to buying a Losi 5t LOL
reverse would be easy but the motor dont have it would need a new engine and different radio would cost an easy 500 bucks to do just dont feel like putting that much money into it already got over 2000 in it nah mean lol
L truely can't figure out why all these people are bitching about the dog, if you don't like it don't fuckin watch, its pretty simple solution. I got say I thought it was a pretty sweet toy, and I'm guessing that with a charging system, the only thing thats needed is gas and a remote?
