For me, Twin Hawk, Centipede, World Rally1, P47 and maybe... Moon Buggy ha! And just to add, Bonus game Twin Hawk MD and Atari 2600 Centipede are just as cool to play as the real deal.
Hard to argue with your choices and they'd definitely be in my top ten. I'd probably have a few shmups in my top five but for unique arcade titles on Evercade I'm happy with that :-) Some serious Colin McRae skills on display there btw. Keep up the awesome work!
Lol I do like a bit of World Rally. Colin mcRae.. this reminds me that it would be great to get the PS1 games from codemasters Colin McRae Rally 1 and 2..
Interesting list. I didn't pick up the Gaelco 2 cart but your choice and footage of Thunder Hoop 2 makes me think I should reconsider. For me I'd probably pick Alligator Hunt, Biomechanical Toy and In the Hunt as my top 3. Tough choices from there but I'd probably say I play Tumblepop and Bad Dudes the most of the remaining games. I know Bad Dudes is so basic but for some reason it's easy to pop in and play for a few levels.
I'm surprised to see World Rally get picked over the sequel. Maybe I just need to play them both more to get it though that's gonna mean not playing Donut Dodo or Wardner when I pick up my device and that's gonna remain unlikely for a bit but when Donut Dodo goes away, maybe. Now if you would had picked the first Thunder Hoop over the sequel, I would had thought you just have surprisingly odd taste in games that I can't understand, lol. Also surprised to see you could pick a top 5. That would be tough for me. World Rally 2 might get a spot from me. Thunder Hoop 2 and Alligator would definitely be considered too. Several others would make it tough, titles like Moon Patrol, In the Hunt, and Biomechanical Toy are some that come to mind I'd consider which doesn't even factor in that Namco Museum Collection 2 cart I have. Also, my list would have my childhood favorites Mania Challenge and Wardner.
I usually do Top 10 instead of 5, but decided on this 5. Oddly I've just not got into World Rally 2, its pretty similar but didn't grab me the same way.
I agree with some of your picks but World Rally 2 is better in every way than the first game, just takes a little longer to master. I actually think 64th Street is a much better game than Final Fight as well and Rodland is a cool game, but not as good as Tumblepop or Snow Bros for me. My picks would be: Alligator Hunt, 64th St, World Rally 2, Snow Bros, Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja.
Some good choices there! I really must re-visit 64th Street but the dreadful sound effects keep putting me off from returning to it. I'm amazed the sounds used got through the approval process. They're ridiculously loud and are also sound effects that no human in their right mind would make.
Yeah. Quality choices there Crazy Burger! But wondering if these are choices are based on games that you never actually got to play. Or maybe was not aware of. Back in the day?! Certainly for me I never heard of them. But maybe that just nostalgia bias creeping in?! Haha! 🤔
@@CrazyBurger LOL! I was speaking of my nostalgia. Expecting to see more well known games to show up on that list?! Perhaps it’s the way I put that across. Sorry. 🤪. I was just confirming like you said. That they’re all new and great games to you now. Seeing with fresh eyes! So therefore they would rank as the best! I really have to work this writing thing more! 🤣
Great selection matey. Quite a lot of quality games to narrow down but This would probably be my top 5 favorite arcade games to play on evercade. 1) Alligator Hunt. 2) Tumblepop. 3) 64th street. 4) in the hunt. 5) Hellfire. It will be interesting to see what the eventual 10th arcade cartridge will be :).
@@CrazyBurger oh yeah the 30th console cart. That'll also be interesting. Definitely a long shot. But I think it'd be epic if they somehow got an Electric arts cart for number 30. Ranging from mostly the megadrive era of games from 1990 to 1995. Definitely a slim to none chance. But not impossible either.
@@CrazyBurger oh absolutely. The sport games could be an issue. My fantasy list for the cartridge would be. @@jondixon4937 oh, Dodo will definitely shoot to the top of my list once it's available on a cart. Snow Bros and Tumblepop are good for sure, but I would put them both just below Rod Land.
@@jondixon4937 Rod-Land and Donut Dodo are the two best thanks to their amazing personalities. Rod-Land has a lot of content (three endings!). Donut Dodo is short but has great replayability. Snow Bros. has no narrative and gets frustrating by the end, but it has a great mechanic (that numerous others have copied). Tumblepop is decent, but somewhat generic compared to the others.
A triumphant victory for Gaelco! :D I agree Biomechanical Toy is a contender, but these three are good too.
Not sure about my other 4 but Tumblepop would be top - used to play that a lot in an arcade in Glasgow during my student days and still love it.
Yeah that's a fun title, I definitely played that quite a bit on this cart.
"Makes no sense but it is incredible fun" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol but it doesn't.. Alligators? Kids on skateboards?? Shoot frogs for missiles?! Bonkers.
Thunder Hoop 2 is the reason I bought an Evercade..awesome game and music.
They've actually done a decent job with TH2.. try playing this on an emulator.. its a pain!
Oh I just thought about putting it on my Steamdeck, maybe I'll just keep it on Evercade..cheers Crazy 🍔

Oh yes agree, I actually prefer Atari 2600 Centipede. Lol Moon Buggy. Moon Patrol is good fun.
@@CrazyBurger Moon Buggy? oops that's the name of the version I use to play on C16/Plus4. Moon Patrol it is! 😀
@@MIKandJEAN ah so it is.. its a different version based on Moon Patrol. I didn't know that.

A lot of love for Gaelco here. Personally I'd have had biomechanical toy on here though.
Thats a class game for sure but it really frustrated me in the later levels, became practically impossible.
Snow Bros. seems an obvious choice, but at least Rod-land made the cut! Both are excellent, but I'd side with Rit and Tam!

I don't think there's a more late 80's thing in existence than Bad Dudes. It ticks every box for me.
Love your content, and yet again your a spot on with your opinions.

Great picks! Especially Rod Land - There is no better single screen platformer currently available on Evercade.
So much fun.. but crazy tough later on. The amount of credits to finish it, is ridiculous. Then you can play Rod Land 1.5.
Rod-land is wonderful, but Snow Bros. is a close second.
